About us
Seawilding is a pioneering and award-winning Scottish charity located on the shores of Loch Craignish in Argyll. With a core team and with the help of community volunteers, Seawilding works to restore degraded marine habitats and in particular the eco-system engineers, native oysters and seagrass. Their aim is to restore lost biodiversity, sequester carbon and to create green jobs. They are empowering others to do the same by trialling and creating best practice, low-cost methodologies. Seawilding has an active training programme for other coastal communities with the aim of achieving restoration at scale all round Scotland. Seawilding also works with local schools to teach them about the marine environment, encouraging them to get hands-on with restoration and nurturing a passion for the marine world.
