Growing Creatively, Sustainably, Together

About us

Our story began in Penzance in 1981. From our first shop on Adelaide Street, we sold traditional workwear to local farmers, fishermen and artists. Inspired by this creative, coastal community, we went on to design our own collections. The team today includes a brilliant mix of fashion and textile designers, fine artists and illustrators. It’s their sketchbooks and skill that bring our imaginative ideas to life. Seasalt’s design ethos is to create beautiful and useful clothing that our customers can enjoy wearing season after season. It’s our attention to detail and exceptional quality that have won us such a loyal following. From our family roots, we have grown to be one of Cornwall’s largest employers, with over 70 Seasalt shops around the UK and Ireland. We're proud of the business we've become and all the people who've helped to get us here. As we continue to grow, we remain committed to acting responsibly, living our values and putting our customers at the heart of everything we do.

  • Huge congratulations to our CEO, Paul Hayes, for being named in Drapers Power 100 list as a ‘Lifestyle Leader’. The recognition mentions our B Corp certification and first North American store – two key milestones for Seasalt in 2024. Click below to read more!

  • This year saw us launch our very first ‘Store of the Year’ throughout our UK and Ireland stores! In round 1, each store had the opportunity to demonstrate to members of our Executive Board and Leadership Team how they live our values, deliver exceptional customer service and maintain beautiful visual merchandising. Round 2 focussed on KPI’s, operational compliance and their commitment to people and the planet, in alignment with our business strategy. For round 3, finalists gave a store tour to our CEO, CPO and Director of Retail and gave a presentation to demonstrate the brilliant job they do of bringing our values to life. The winning team – our amazing Lytham store – won an all expenses paid trip to Cornwall for their entire team in 2025, including some exciting activities. What set Lee, Lytham Store Manager, and his team apart was their operational consistency, commitment to their community and passion for development. To top things off, Lee created an impressive cake (as seen in this video) that highlighted how each team member embodies our values, the business and store opportunities and successes and their future goals. Huge congratulations to the Lytham team, and a big thank you to all our stores for their dedication to Seasalt!

  • Wishing our American employees and customers a Happy Thanksgiving! This marks the first Thanksgiving since we opened our doors in Falmouth, Massachusetts, and what a fantastic few months it has been. As the team in the U.S. celebrate today in their own special ways, we’ve loved hearing about their traditions, and tasty recipe ideas, which we’ve shared internally. Below are members of the brilliant team, including U.S. Country Manager, Valentina Garavito. Opening in the U.S. has been a huge milestone for our company, and it’s been amazing to see the positive response from both our American team and customers. This expansion plays a key part in our growth plans, and we’re excited about what’s to come!

Last week we welcomed the Octopus Electric Vehicles team at our Falmouth Head Office, giving employees the chance to test drive the Polestar 4 and BYD Atto 3 electric vehicles. Our new green car benefit launched earlier this year, supporting our own sustainability strategy and offering employees a more accessible route to driving electric. Octopus Electric Vehicles equip our people with the knowledge to embrace EVs seamlessly, from locating charging stations to timing their drives. They provide an all-in-one package so our people are ready to drive from day one, and all whilst reducing our carbon footprint! Our Rewards Analyst, Alysia Powell, shared “All in all, it is a win-win benefit to help us work towards our goals and providing a greener, more affordable way to commute for our employees – all while making their lives easier. With a few team members awaiting delivery of their cars, we are excited to see more employees take up the scheme and see them in action!”
