Following Debra Yudolph's participation in the 'Leveraging PropTech for Data-Driven Success' webinar with British Property Federation and REdirect Consulting, we’ve been reflecting on the ideas shared: 💡 AI & Automation: * Georgie Drewery from Yardi explained how chatbots can manage 80% of out-of-hours leasing queries, enabling teams to prioritise relationship-building. * Starting small with RPA in repetitive, high-pain areas like data entry can drive impactful efficiencies. * By automating routine tasks, AI can increase employee productivity by as much as 40% (Accenture). 🔍 Data Strategy: * As explained by Callum Board, don’t just collect data—start with key business questions and work backward to avoid data fatigue by figuring out the most important drivers of success. * What we’re seeing is that integrated systems are essential for real-time insights, higher tenant satisfaction, and better decision-making. 🤝 Tech Meets Human: * The best PropTech doesn’t replace people—it complements them, enhancing service delivery without losing the personal touch. * These discussions have inspired us to explore how technology can help solve key industry challenges while keeping human connections at the core. What role do you see PropTech playing in 2025? Quintain Living Saminder (Sammy) Pahal Andrew Mason Danielle Bayless Grainger PLC

You may have watched the BBC’s feature, 'The Leasehold Trap' last weekend. The programme explored challenges faced by leaseholders, including rising service charges and management issues, but focused on a few personal stories rather than addressing broader industry complexities. Take a look at Richard Lewis' thoughts on the programme about how it may have missed an opportunity to explore the broader challenges and complexities of the leasehold system. #managingagents #propertymanagement #developers https://hubs.ly/Q02ZGq520

Lee Rickers and Gareth Bridgman from SAY attended Day 2 of London Build Expo at the Kensington Olympia, featuring hundreds of stalls, exhibitions, workshops and talks from the development sector. Everything from smoke extract specialists, door entry system installers, sustainable brick suppliers, pest control providers and balcony turf grass growers were on show; there was certainly a lot to engage with! The team attended a particularly intriguing discussion that assessed where the property industry stands, a year on from the implementation of the Building Safety Act, and learned that the Building Safety Regulator had only approved around 15% of the safety cases it had reviewed thus far. In addition, there was a discussion which made the case for more regulatory red tape to protect residents to ensure buildings were being designed, built and managed safely. In the next workshop, we witnessed the argument that the red tape in fire safety regulations was actually holding back the delivery of the 1 million plus homes the Government hopes to deliver....there is certainly many challenges ahead in the development sector to meet that delivery target whilst ensuring safety is paramount, with fire safety at the top of everyone's agenda. #LondonBuildExpo
