The favoured networking and thought-leadership cybersecurity forum.

About us

The Security Awareness Special Interest Group (SASIG) addresses the human aspects of security and fraud prevention in an initiative to improve trust and confidence in the online environment. Established in 2004, SASIG is a subscription free networking forum organised by The Security Company (International) Limited. Now celebrating its twelfth anniversary, SASIG is recognised as “an impartial and credible voice of the corporate sector in the cybersecurity and e-crime prevention debate”. Our objective is to improve trust and confidence in the online environment. Membership - from organisations of all sizes both public and private - is drawn exclusively from CSOs, CISOs, SIROs, DSOs and their staff with responsibility for security compliance and awareness within their organisations. All activities are free. The Chatham House Rule is strictly enforced and universally respected at all meetings, and vendors and the Press are excluded. Thus the level of debate is extraordinarily revealing and rewarding. Sensitive, contentious and important issues are explored by an expert, vetted audience leading to a new level of thinking, advanced knowledge of developments, influential relationships and networking. We consider SASIG to be merely the conductor of a global orchestra of enterprises. Via our members, we directly and indirectly reach millions of people worldwide – of varying cultures, languages and technical sophistication – with our best practice advice on security awareness and behavioural change. Increasingly, we wish to influence industry debate and direct effort and resources towards the human aspects of cybersecurity, information assurance and online safety.
