Benefits of Recycling Catalytic Converters with SAR Metals? "Proper" recycling prevents hazardous materials like platinum, palladium and rhodium from contaminating the environment. This helps protect soil and water quality. Also, recycling metals uses significantly less energy compared to mining new ones, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and contributes to a lower carbon footprint. By recycling your spent CATs with SAR Metals, you're supporting a circular economy where materials are continuously reused, reducing the need for new raw materials. At SAR Metals, we use state-of-the-art technology, including XRF and ICP analysers, to accurately determine the value of the precious metals in your catalytic converters. Regular clients can access a bespoke online database to get accurate valuations for their catalytic converters, helping you understand the worth of your materials before selling. About us
SAR METALS LTD. Specialist At Recycling, Welcome to S.A.R Metals Ltd We do catalytic converters recycling and e-waste collection. SAR is based in Immingham N.E. Lincolnshire and was established in 2008. We specialise in Material Recovery and Waste Management. Focusing on recovery off Precious Metals from the Automotive industry and discarded Electronic Waste. SAR. provide nationwide collection and storage services for suppliers. We also offer dual collection on Catalytics and E-waste. SAR METALS LTD : We recycle end-of-life catalysts from Vehicles and Industrial Control Systems. From each Catalytic Converter we recover metals Platinum (Pt), Rhodium (Rh) and Palladium (Pd) - that sharply reduce the pollutants released in exhaust gases. S.A.R. offers our suppliers two methods of trading: 1. We buy complete Converters in the cans based on Catalytic Converter grades and quantity. 2. We offer refining and analysis on all Catalytic Converters. We take your cats and refine them and provide you with an exact value of all the valuable metals recoverable in your material. The material remains your property until you are ready to sell. We then offer to trade the metals on the market through our brokers giving you the highest possible return on your Catalytic Converters. (terms and conditions available on request)

At SAR Metals, we're all about recovery of precious metals! Recycling RAM (Random Access Memory) is valuable for several reasons: Precious Metals: RAM contains small amounts of precious metals like gold, silver and palladium. These metals can be recovered and reused, reducing the need for new mining operations. Environmental Benefits: Recycling RAM helps reduce electronic waste, which can be harmful to the environment if not properly managed. It also conserves natural resources by reusing materials. Economic Value: The recovered metals and components from RAM can be sold and reused in new electronic devices, supporting the economy and creating jobs in the recycling industry. Energy Savings: Recycling electronic components like RAM requires less energy compared to producing new materials from scratch, leading to significant energy savings. Overall, recycling RAM is a sustainable practice that benefits both the environment and the economy. Why do we do, what we do? To play a role in improving the way we dispose of hazardous waste for the benefit of all. Did you know, improper disposal of e-waste can release up to 1,000 different harmful substances into the environment, including lead and mercury! These can have severe health impacts, especially on children and pregnant women! Always partner with a responsible end-of-life recycler, the onus is on ALL parties - DON'T GET CAUGHT OUT! After SAR have collected your spent catalytic converters, they're sorted into storage containers. From there, they are de-canned or crushed ready to be recycled. Once metals are extracted from recycled catalytic converters, they undergo several processes to be reused effectively: Refining: The extracted metals such as platinum, palladium and rhodium are refined to remove impurities. This ensures they meet the required purity standards for reuse. Manufacturing: These refined metals are then used in the production of new catalytic converters, electronics, jewellery and various industrial applications. Market Supply: By recycling and reintroducing these metals into the market, the supply of these critical materials is stabilised, reducing the need for new mining operations and mitigating market volatility. This recycling process not only conserves valuable resources but also supports sustainable manufacturing practices and reduces environmental impact. ℹ️: https://lnkd.in/eArZp3pB ℹ️: https://lnkd.in/eh8-97XV ℹ️: https://lnkd.in/eCQVzXDM

The catalytic converter plays a crucial role in reducing harmful emissions from vehicles. As the converter operates, it facilitates chemical reactions that convert toxic gases such as carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides into less harmful substances like carbon dioxide and nitrogen. Over time, the ceramic honeycomb structure inside the converter, which is coated with precious metals like platinum, palladium and rhodium, can wear down, releasing fine dust particles. This dust can be valuable due to its metal content, leading to an increase in catalytic converter thefts for recycling purposes. However, handling this dust requires caution as it may contain potentially hazardous materials. Proper disposal and recycling of catalytic converters are essential to minimise environmental impact and recover valuable metals efficiently. At SAR Metals, we follow a diligent regime to ensure all materials are handled safely and responsibly. This contributes to a safe working environment and ensures we value your waste and any potential return owed to you!

IT decommissioning is the process of safely and securely removing IT equipment and software from a company's use, while complying with all regulations. It's a critical process that can involve a wide range of assets, including servers, storage devices, networking equipment and entire data centres. All this equipment must then have an onward purpose. 🔄some will be put to re-use following a refurb ❌some will not be fit for reuse That's where we come in, as an end-of-life recycler we ensure all unusable commodities are ethically recycled ♻️ However, just because an item has reached the end of it's life doesn't mean the materials it contains have? We export direct to refinery for precious material extraction. This prevents the need to mine for rare Earth materials and gives your devices a new lease of life, contributing to a circular economy! This unlocks a financial benefit too, as many of the items we recycle qualify for rebates, find out how much you could earn today!
