SAR METALS LTD. Specialist At Recycling, Welcome to S.A.R Metals Ltd We do catalytic converters recycling and e-waste collection. SAR is based in Immingham N.E. Lincolnshire and was established in 2008. We specialise in Material Recovery and Waste Management. Focusing on recovery off Precious Metals from the Automotive industry and discarded Electronic Waste. SAR. provide nationwide collection and storage services for suppliers. We also offer dual collection on Catalytics and E-waste. SAR METALS LTD : We recycle end-of-life catalysts from Vehicles and Industrial Control Systems. From each Catalytic Converter we recover metals Platinum (Pt), Rhodium (Rh) and Palladium (Pd) - that sharply reduce the pollutants released in exhaust gases. S.A.R. offers our suppliers two methods of trading: 1. We buy complete Converters in the cans based on Catalytic Converter grades and quantity. 2. We offer refining and analysis on all Catalytic Converters. We take your cats and refine them and provide you with an exact value of all the valuable metals recoverable in your material. The material remains your property until you are ready to sell. We then offer to trade the metals on the market through our brokers giving you the highest possible return on your Catalytic Converters. (terms and conditions available on request)

  • After SAR have collected your spent catalytic converters, they're sorted into storage containers. From there, they are de-canned or crushed ready to be recycled. Once metals are extracted from recycled catalytic converters, they undergo several processes to be reused effectively: Refining: The extracted metals such as platinum, palladium and rhodium are refined to remove impurities.
