About us
We are The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust's official NHS charity and provide support to Rotherham Hospital and within the community. We enhance the care NHS staff deliver to thousands of patients and their families each year in the Rotherham area and beyond. We work with local communities, schools and in partnership with businesses across the town and outlying areas. Generous donations and fundraising enable us to fund equipment, projects and resources which the NHS cannot provide. Every penny donated helps to support our hard working staff and enhance the experience of patients and their families, who are at the centre of everything we do. We are currently fundraising for our #TinyToes appeal, which aims to raise £150,000 for our neonatal unit at Rotherham Hospital. Thanks to wonderful people like this, we've been able to collect and donate over 2,000 coats to patients in need. We'd like to give a shout out to... ⭐ Rotherham Opportunities College who collected coats for our Coat Rack initiative. Thank you to Paul Hill, Tyler Hides and Aiden Pearson who came in to donate their collection. ⭐The lovely Victoria Haycock from AHJ Wills & Estates Ltd. Victoria recently gathered coats at work (and even sold Winter Raffle tickets for us!) Thank you so much for your incredible support. ⭐Last but not least we'd like to thank Debbie Robertson and Sandra Wilkinson from The Stock Shop who donated surplus stock for our clothing bank . These donations make such a huge difference to the patients who come into hospital without anything, and have no means of accessing clothing or warm coats while in hospital. Being able to offer this service to patients is down to individuals like you! Thank you to everyone who has made coat and clothing donations. ❤️ #CoatRack #HospitalClothingBank #RotherhamIsWonderful #KeepingRotherhamWarm

Thank you to everyone who took part in our Christmas Jumper Day last week to raise money for our Dementia Appeal. We hope you all had a fabulous festive day - you have helped to make a difference for those living with Dementia in our community and we cannot thank you enough for that! 🫶 We saw so many amazing outfits on the day, but we could only choose one winner for our best dressed competition! We just had to share her wonderful smile with you all - it’s none other than the most incredible elf on the (hospital) shelf, Caroline Johnson who works in our Urgent and Emergency Care Centre. We hope you enjoy your goody bag of M&S treats Caroline. We love your festive spirit, infectious smile and charitable cheer! #ChristmasJumperDay #RotherhamIsWonderful #FestiveCheer

💕 We have a beautiful way to honour and cherish the memory of those you've loved and lost. 💕 Sadie sadly lost her grandparents back in 2021 and 2022. Sadie has decided to celebrate the life of her beloved Grandparents by making an in-memory dedication on our hospital Tree of Memories. Sadie said, "I thought leaving an in-memory dedication for Nannan and Grandad was a lovely way to cherish their memory this Christmas. “The money raised goes towards the Charity’s Dementia Appeal, which would have meant a lot to Nannan and Grandad knowing that our donation is helping other people suffering with dementia.” Read Sadie's heartfelt story here: https://lnkd.in/ebqvkmGm If like Sadie, you are remembering a loved one this Christmas and would like to leave an in-memory donation in their name, please visit: https://lnkd.in/e8FbHrGq We will also send you your own keepsake bauble. (Please note that this may arrive after Christmas due to postage delays around Christmas), but please rest assured that your loved ones name and your message will appear on our beautiful hospital tree before Christmas. #TreeOfMemories #InMemory #RememberingLovedOnes

We recently asked our amazing community if they could help us provide toiletries and personal care items for our patients who come into hospital with nothing, and have no means of accessing these items. We were so pleased to meet Martin and Julia from Rotherham Sitwell Rotary Club last week who brought us an absolutely huge donation of toiletries worth £300! 🧼 🫧 🧴 Without the support of local organisations like Rotherham Sitwell Rotary Club, we wouldn’t be able to offer this crucial service to patients in need. Thank you for your incredible donation. Read the full story here: https://lnkd.in/dyTtYY5c Could you do something amazing this festive season and donate toiletries? If you can help, please drop in any donations to the Rotherham Hospital and Community Charity Hub: 📍 Located in Rotherham Hospital’s entrance opposite Boots. 📞 You can also contact us on 01709 426 821 or email [email protected] #FestiveGiving #RotherhamIsWonderful #RotaryClub #SupportLocalCharities

We were absolutely delighted to receive hundreds of pounds worth of toys from the lovely Suzanne Nettleton and Michelle Fearne from Tesco, Wath-upon-dearne. The huge selection of toys have been donated by kind customers and staff in store. These toys will be donated to our children's ward and used over the festive season to bring smiles to the children staying in hospital over Christmas. Don't we just have the most amazing community? Thank you Tesco and all of the wonderful staff and customers who have made toy donations. This is what Christmas is all about!🎄💕 #ToyDonations #RotherhamIsWonderful #Thankyou #Makingadifference
