Rooftop Housing Group Celebrates 30 Years of Building Homes and Communities 🎊 Rooftop Housing Group is marking its 30th anniversary, celebrating three decades of providing safe, affordable housing and vital support services to communities in South Worcestershire and North Gloucestershire. With around 7,000 homes under its management, the Evesham-based housing association has played a key role in supporting people with housing needs in local communities. “This milestone marks three decades of providing affordable homes for local people and working in and alongside the communities of South Worcestershire and North Gloucestershire,” Boris Worrall, Rooftop Group Chief Executive said. “We are proud of the positive impact we’ve made in addressing the housing crisis and are grateful for the support of our local partners. As well as meeting housing need, we also continue to do all we can to provide wider support and advice to customers.” In addition to marking this milestone, Rooftop Housing Group is pleased to have received a positive result from the Regulator of Social Housing after a recent inspection. Rooftop received a top G1 grading for governance, a compliant C2 consumer grading and a complaint V2 financial grading. “We are pleased that following a recent inspection by the Regulator of Social Housing, we have retained the top rating of G1 for governance, and the compliant financial rating of V2 for viability,” Boris said. “Our compliant C2 rating under the new consumer standards identified a number of areas of strength, as well as two key areas for improvement around repairs waiting times and complaints management, which we are working hard to address. We also look forward to continuing the work we are doing to expand the opportunities for our customers to influence how we deliver services.” The full Regulatory Judgement can be read here (link in comment). In 1994, the Evesham and Pershore Housing Association (EPHA) was established to take over 4,020 homes from Wychavon District Council. In 2003, the organization rebranded and transitioned to charitable status, a key step in its growth and commitment to delivering effective housing solutions in the area. Today, Rooftop offers not just homes but a range of support and services, such as housing with care, money advice and domestic abuse support, and provides homes for the Gypsy and Traveller community at three sites. All the services are underpinned by values of caring, inclusivity and professionalism. Looking ahead, Rooftop remains focused on its vision of providing good quality homes, reliable landlord services and customer support, and remains committed to being a responsive housing association aligned with the changing needs of customers for years to come.
