I would like to thank South Western Railway for their exceptional customer service. Recently, I experienced a little mishap as a parent when I inadvertently put my autistic sons cherished branded water bottle, which I had picked up at the Rise4Disability event, in the dishwasher, resulting in it melting. Feeling quite the ''mum fail,'' I reached out to the company's customer service team via LinkedIn in hopes of finding a solution. To my delight, a thoughtful package arrived today, sent especially for Ethan. His reaction was priceless; he declared it, in his own words, "the best day ever!" This experience not only brightened my son's day but also showcased the remarkable commitment of South Western Railway to customer satisfaction and community engagement. Thank you for turning a little mishap into a memorable moment for our family. It's a reminder of the positive impact businesses can have on individuals and families alike.

  • Thank you Hannah Gibson for sharing this important message and giving us a shoutout - finding the help or information you need can feel overwhelming, but we endeavor to connect you with the resources you need all under one roof at our events!

Empowering business growth through innovative disability inclusion

One of the greatest challenges we face as a disabled community is the perception surrounding the cost of education. “We don’t have the funds or resources to create an accessible and inclusive workplace.” Society has created a barrier that business owners are afraid to climb because they cannot predict what awaits them on the other side. But did you know that so much of the information is free to access? With events like Rise4Disability, anyone can learn about ways in which they can better support a disabled workforce for the cost of a train ticket. Or a few miles in fuel. Events are held all over the country and with so many exhibitors desperate to help people develop their knowledge and create more inclusive work environments…   There certainly isn’t a shortage of information available. Armed with this newfound wisdom, you can then access free online tools and resources that can go a long way towards helping you create the accessible workplace you know you need. If you would like help navigating this journey from someone who understands it from both sides, drop me a DM. Getting the best from your entire team is a lot more cost-effective than you think.
