📣 📣 Calling all the entrepreneurial scientists! I am delighted to announce that I was recently made a Wilbe fellow following their 12th Bootcamp for Scientists Founders (BSF12)! In this 3-day residential BootCamp we have met some amazing people working on solving big challenges with science! Special shout out to Wilbe's Ali Farzanehfar and Ale Maiano who have constantly challenged Repolywise’s business model and our assumptions. It felt uncomfortable at first, but we have learnt a lot and pivoted into a new strategy for developing the ✂️ “Atomic Scissors” technology! We have also been given very personal and sincere advice on the entrepreneurial mindset, customer conversations, and investor processes 🧠. There is some great news for my network, as they are now opening applications for the next cohort of the BootCamp BSF 13! I would encourage entrepreneurial scientists to apply! What a wonderful afternoon spent in EBRI - Energy & Bioproducts Research Institute, Aston University! It was great to speak with the experts in biomass pyrolysis Daniel J. Nowakowski and SACHIN SOLOMON AMIMechE, and exchanging ideas on how to make pyrolysis processes work economically! Thanks to the amazing Adrian whyle for making the introduction! Sincerity and transparency - two deciding factors driving collaboration in innovation, and evidently the spirit demonstrated by Daniel and Sachin! We enjoyed touring their well-equipped laboratory, and I was inspired to quantify our products at Repolywise more accurately! Incredibly excited to see where this relationship can take us!

Grateful to be invited to the Cleantech Forum Europe, organised by the Cleantech Group in Chantilly, France! In the previous three days it has been amazing to network with fellow innovators, VCs and government organisations! I participated in the Innovation Showcase session, where I presented my journey with Repolywise, commercializing the "Atomic Scissors" technology transforming waste plastics into new plastics developed at the University of Oxford. We are early stage (a team of two) now, but the innovators I met these few days are great examples for me to aspire to! The award dinner took place at the gorgeous Royaumont Abbey. Such a spectacular place! Overall it is such a wonderfully well-organised conference. Looking forward to it again next year, when we will be at the right time to pick up some of those fundraising conversations! Thank you Cleantech Group team Richard Youngman Sarah O'Connell Jules Besnainou Marcel van Galen!

🚀 Exciting News! 🚀 Repolywise, a start-up founded by researchers from the University of Oxford, has just secured additional funding for the next phase of research into our groundbreaking 'Atomic Scissors' technology ✂️🔬. This is a huge step towards solving the global plastic waste crisis! 🌍♻️ Supported by Innovate UK, Atomic Scissors uses an innovative hydrocracking process to break down plastic waste at the atomic level, including hard-to-recycle polyolefin plastics like polyethylene and polypropylene – which account for nearly 50% of global plastic production! This breakthrough not only reduces plastic waste but feeds into the circular economy by creating raw materials for new plastic products. 🌱💡 A huge thank you to our fantastic partners who are making this possible, and to the amazing team driving this forward – special shout out to Dr. Bryan Ng for leading the charge! 🙌 This funding will allow us embark on our next phase of research and development from AgileLabs at the University of Oxford, Begbroke Science Park, and we couldn't be more excited for what’s to come.
