Powering the circular economy with frictionless deposit returns.

About us

We are on a mission to eliminate single-use for good. A solution should be as good as the existing system but with improvements which make it better. Like single use, just without the waste. We allow payment providers financial products, set up for the linear society, to join the circular economy. We are the universal reuse language that allows payment providers to talk to each other, liberating the circular economy from its dependency on data sharing and apps. Recirculate Systems (RS) have developed code that allows any item to be instantly linked to a transaction. This means we can refund customer’s deposit payments using different point-of-sale systems and different banks, all without an app. This is literally a world first, and stands to finally unlock the potential of the reuse economy. Our software means that we can now get rid of single-use items without any behaviour change from customers or businesses. We are pioneering tech that fuels a circular economy- let's save the planet together.

Here's 59% of our recycling efforts. And yet I still do it. Because it is illegal to throw my waste into the river here, I am complicit. How far away does our recycling have to be shipped before society turns a blind eye? Vietnam, in this instance.

The single biggest threat to our planet is pollution, let’s concentrate on what really matters. Ocean and river plastic is wiping out marine life. The Ocean Integrity Group, at the forefront of combating plastic pollution, has developed a robust audit process for plastic collections, integrating blockchain technology to track and trace plastic waste from its origin to its disposal. Through collaborative research, community engagement programs, and sustainable practices, the group is actively reducing plastic waste reaching the oceans and restoring their health. By leveraging blockchain technology for transparency and accountability, the Ocean Integrity Group sets a new standard for environmental stewardship, emphasizing traceability in their efforts to combat plastic pollution and promote ocean conservation. • How about two options on our waste collection: 1. Buried or burnt here 2. Buried or burnt there https://lnkd.in/eCS4eHu5

This image paints a pretty stark reality for how utterly effective the plastics bodies and fossil fuel bodies are at lobbying to ensure our lives remain addicted to plastics. It shows just how much systemic change is required and how ultimately brands need to be brave and focus on reduce, reuse, refill and repurpose solutions rather than alternatives. We need every brand to get behind this if we are ultimately going to reduce our addiction to it. If you are ever thinking of talking about plastics in any presentations then these new infographics are absolutely brilliant at dissecting the reality in a really easily comprehensible way. https://lnkd.in/eAhGH65v Other key areas this range of infographics highlights include: - the seven types of plastic and actually what they entail in terms of properties, how recyclable they are etc - what does biodegradable plastic actually mean - what are bioplastics and why despite being bet than fossil-fuel derived plastics in many sense, are not the golden shiny unicorn of an answer due to the amount of land they need to make them, the chemicals and additives still used and the fact many aren't recyclable to name but a few - a solutions mindmap on ways we can solve the plastic crisis Thanks 🌏 Meredith O. for sending this to me.

So proud to have this government representing us. Or maybe not. Just like all the poo dumped into our beautiful rivers, this would be absolutely top of the agenda for all of us if we didn't ship our recycling abroad to be dumped into the sea or burnt. But then, it is so much easier to give up responsibility and let poor people deal with it. Shameful.

  • Sharing in the digital age is hard; it relies on apps and subscriptions, sharing user locations and bank details. All of which prevent the adoption of circular practices, and slow down transactions. On top of this, if you borrow one thing from one place, it has to be returned to that place/chain. The solution that currently presents itself, is a bit of a faff. 🥴 But what if there was a simpler way? That’s where Delete comes in... 🔍 What is Delete? We’ve developed a cutting-edge codebase for payments that instantly links any purchased item to a transaction, eliminating the need for apps, sign-ups, subscriptions, or the retention of personal data. This technology powers Delete Cups – the coffee cup deposit return system that’s app-free and more affordable than single-use alternatives. 💡 How Can Delete Help You? Here’s how it works: When you choose to enjoy your coffee in a Delete Cup, you pay a small deposit. This deposit is instantly refunded when you return the cup to any participating cafe, requiring no extra effort from either the barista or customer. It’s a simple yet impactful way to reduce waste and contribute to a healthier planet. 🤝 Want to join us? We are currently rolling out Delete across Sheffield in the UK, but if you would like to be the first to know when we launch in more areas, drop us a message and we will add you to the waitlist! www.deletecups.com #foodandbeverage #reuse #zerowaste #reuserevolution #ecofriendly

  • REUSE REUSE REUSE Rather than adding to the overflowing landfills with endless single-use items, Delete facilitates reuse, but without the extra hassle that often comes with it. Simply sip your takeaway coffee, drop the cup at any collection point, and it will be washed and recirculated back into the system, ready for many more uses. - The cup deposit is instantly returned - There is no app required - It is cheaper than single-use Would you like to find out how it works? Get in touch and we can arrange a demo. #reuse #singleuse #circulareconomy #depositreturnsystem

  • Cups... we all know the traditional way of buying a coffee. You buy your drink and have it handed to you in a standard single-use cup, which gets thrown away after, contributing to the 22 billion cups going to landfill this year. Well, Delete is here to change that. Our deposit return system is similar to the way we use shopping trolleys (but easier!). A small deposit is charged to your card when you grab your coffee, you then use your cup, drop it off at ANY collection point and we will do the rest. Your deposit is returned and your cup will be collected, cleaned and added back to the system so it can be reused again and again. Making drinking coffee sustainable. If you would like to get involved and introduce the Delete system into your coffee shop, please get in touch. #greentech #deleteglobal #singleuse #reuse #circulareconomy
