Every December the Pension Protection Fund (PPF) publishes its ‘Purple Book’, which gives an overview of the UK’s Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes using data collected over the year to 31 March. This provides a steer and understanding as to the continued direction of travel for UK DB pension schemes. Daryl Morris, Consultant at Quantum Advisory provides a summary here https://lnkd.in/dn8VX4mk #ppf

It was announced in the Autumn Budget that from 6 April 2027, unused pension pots and death benefits will be included for inheritance tax purposes, potentially affecting a small percentage of estates. This move aims to restore the principle that pensions are not for the accumulation of capital sums for the purpose of inheritance. We can help you navigate these changes and more: https://lnkd.in/ekPvqbrt

Quantum Advisory’s donations for this year’s Cardiff Foodbank collection have been weighed at the warehouse and we’re delighted to have collected 101.2kg of food - equivalent to 9 emergency food parcels which provide 3 meals a day for 3 days. Furthermore, each year we have managed to increase our donation. Last year, the total was 75kgs; 2022 it was 23.5kgs. 🎄🎅 Fantastic job and well done Team Quantum! 👍 #FoodBanks #CardiffFoodBank

At Quantum Advisory we provide a bespoke employee benefit consulting and re-broking service. We are uniquely placed to support organisations and the health, wellbeing and protection needs of their employees. Following the announcement of increases to the rate of employer National Insurance contributions paid by employers in the recent autumn budget, we can help to secure benefit solutions, such as life assurance, income protection and private medical insurance at a more competitive price – all without impacting the levels of cover offered to employees. To illustrate this, Quantum will undertake a high-level review of your existing benefits as well as any potential risks to your business, AT NO COST. Please contact Graham Yearsley or Carl Heritage to find out more. Email: [email protected] #HealthandWellbeing #EmployeeBenefits

The triple lock will be applied in full to the state pension in April 2025, meaning that pensioners will receive an increase in line with the growth in national average earnings of 4.1%. This will come as a relief to those pensioners in receipt of a state pension who are struggling with the current cost of living and the recent cut in the winter fuel allowance.
