Launch customers needed! Do you want help with any aspect of setting up and running Jira to maximise your Return on Investment? If so, we may be able to help each other... We have been supporting Jira implementations in government clients for the last two years, backed by over 20 years' experience, and are soft-launching our Jira Management as a Service (Jira MaaS) product in the private sector. Love it or hate it, Jira is here to stay. It is a complex beast, though, and is often implemented really badly, with issues like: - teams saying Jira doesn't work for them - fixed workflows nobody likes - people using Jira comments instead of speaking to each other - management having no clue what is going on - the promised transparency simply doesn't exist - the "simple" tooling has grown into an uncontrollable monster - reliance on one or two admins who simply do not have the capacity or skills - not sure how to set Jira up to support a growing organisation So, if you have Jira, or are thinking about getting Jira, and want to make sure you get the best out of it long-term and avoid issues like these, drop us a line... Freelance part time node.js / MongoDB developer wanted! Fixed cost work equivalent to c£500pd. EDIT: TO ALL NON UK VIEWERS, THIS ROLE IS FOR A UK GOV CLIENT AND SADLY NEEDS A UK RESIDENT WHO CAN PASS BASIC GOVERNMENT VETTING. Continuing our expansion, we are now looking for a freelance node.js / Mongo DB developer to join us on a part-time associate basis. We are building a lightweight, headless CMS for a customer within a large government client, to be hosted on a private Azure Cloud (where we will be using Cosmos for Mongo rather than native MongoDB). At the moment this is being built by one developer and one analyst, and we need an additional developer to work approximately two weeks' total over May and June to meet our existing commitments and provide some resilience. The working culture is excellent and the customer is lovely. Working hours are very flexible with two fixed client touch-points per week and the rest up to you. Working location must be on-shore in the UK but otherwise up to you. Node.js and Mongo / Cosmos are essential, obviously. Any work building Azure environments would be a bonus but not essential as the private cloud is hosted and managed by the client. This is a low risk but high profile application that needs to demonstrate very good cyber security practices - beyond the requirements of the app itself. The last requirement is that you must be able to pass UK gov BPSS vetting. From July, as things stand, we expect the demand to drop to a four day per month support & maintenance retainer, though there is potential for future development so some flexibility would be great: - the content the CMS will contain is complex and our existing customer has asked for views on what could be achieved with AI-assisted search; - we are speaking with other customers within the same government client who have similar needs. So, if you are a freelancer looking for a little extra work, or a parent-with-skills looking to get back into work, this could be perfect for you! Agencies: there really is no fat on this one: any freebie referrals gratefully received and will be remembered, but the role needs to be direct only.
