Let's Discuss.... Driving CRM Adoption, The Role Of A COE. Earlier this month we joined SAP and a group of customers to share experiences on the role a CRM Centre of Excellence (COE) can play in helping drive better value from CRM solutions for sales, marketing and customer service teams. CoE’s aren’t a new concept of course, but what’s your view on the role a specific CRM CoE can play in tackling the adoption challenge many customers still face? Takeaway: Sales and Service users frequently don’t utilise the CRM tools at their disposal, and more often than not, the problem isn’t the tool. How do we fix that? Would a formal structure that fosters collaboration and alignment between business users and IT help you? ▪ Sales and Service users have a particular propensity to go ‘off system’, significantly more so I believe than most other functions. When they do so, they not only ‘go their own way’ in adopting a plethora of tools, creating a real headache both for IT and management, but in the process invent their own disjointed, inefficient processes. Keeping sales and service users ‘in the system’ is vital in winning more business, delivering better customer experiences and giving leaders the insight of what’s happening on the ground to make the right strategic decisions. ▪ October’s session was the latest in a series of sessions we’re running together with SAP and the CX & CRM customer community.
