Prep Schools Trust is delighted to announce the appointment of Adam Mallins as the next Head of Chandlings Prep School. Adam will take up his post in September 2025 following the retirement of Christine Cook. Adam has been Deputy Head at Crosfields School in Reading since 2019 and has been Acting Head since June this year. The Trustees were very impressed both by Adam's passion for education and his excitement at the opportunity to lead Chandlings. Yesterday our team, local Trust school staff and the wider Trust community were delighted to get together for Christmas drinks and canapés to celebrate the end of the year. As is tradition, the Trust 'Choir' gathered to sing a carol, 'O Little Town of Trust Office' with words written by CEO, Tom Beardmore-Gray. What do you think of our first verse about our growing Trust? "O little town of Trust Office It's Christmas time again PST used to be the famous five And now it's the magnificent seven West Park has joined our ranks Like Beeston it is by the sea We've got the south coast covered now Where next? Let's wait and see" Our team have worked incredibly hard during 2024 and we were happy to have everyone together to mark this special occasion. Some of our attendees included: Tom Beardmore-Gray, Jo Fitzroy-Ezzy, Jeni Wareing Christine Cook, Head of Chandlings Prep School Bennjamyn Smith, Head of Kitebrook Preparatory School George May, Head of Cothill House Stephen Ravenscroft from Stone King LLP Andrew Dawson from Original Field of Architecture & Jayne Evans.

On #internationalvolunteersday, we would like to say a big thank you to our Trustees for all they do governing our Trust. Also, as well as our amazing staff, our Trust schools are grateful to be supported by volunteers, such as our Local Advisory Groups and PTAs. Each volunteer helps contribute to the community and success of our schools, allowing for activities such as firework nights and productions to flourish into core memories for our pupils.

Our Trustees met at Trust Office yesterday for the December Board meeting and AGM at which the Annual Report and Accounts were approved. Feedback and discussions centred around the recent Forum for Designated Safeguarding Leads across the Trust, the Education sub-committee meeting and Autumn Term Local Advisory Group meetings. At the Education sub-committee meeting there was a presentation from Emily Brawn, Head of Pastoral Care and Designated Safeguarding Lead on the Chandlings Wellbeing Award. Following the meeting, some of the Trustees had a tour of Cothill House with Head, George May.
