Today on the DUB04/05 Winthrop site, a comprehensive safety demonstration was conducted to showcase rescue techniques using a mannequin as the rescue victim. The team successfully performed three distinct rescue scenarios, emphasizing the importance of preparedness and proper use of safety equipment. The first rescue involved a Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP), where the mannequin was safely retrieved from height. Next, the team demonstrated rescue procedures while erecting a scaffold, highlighting the challenges and precision required in such situations. Finally, the GOTCHA safety system was utilized to execute an efficient and controlled rescue. Each scenario reinforced key safety principles, ensuring the team is equipped to handle real-life emergencies. 🔙 #ThrowbackThursday to 1998, PHD was commissioned to design and install the largest lightweight temporary roof in Ireland at the time, spanning 33 meters at Castletown House.
