Leading up to the #Thanksgiving holiday, our US offices came together for our first-ever #WeekOfGiving. At our offices in New York, Menlo Park, and Tampa, we hosted roundtable and strategy sessions with Permira Foundation CEOs to discuss the challenges and opportunities ahead in 2025, including how AI can be leveraged to advance their missions. The spirit of giving continued with US-wide #givingback initiatives. From serving meals at the The Bowery Mission in NYC, to assembling homelessness care packages with Compass Family Services in San Francisco, to packing nearly 15,000 diapers for families in need at The Junior League of Tampa's Diaper Bank, our teams worked hand in hand to make a difference during this season of gratitude. Big news from our liquid credit platform last week as Permira Credit successfully priced its debut US CLO, Menlo I, at $430.6 million and its latest European deal, Providus XI, at €406.6 million - both on the same day. Menlo I is the first CLO priced by Permira Credit in the US market, a natural extension of our liquid credit platform following the growth of our European CLO management business, Providus, since 2018. Total AuM for Permira’s global CLO management platform will reach €4.7bn upon closing of both transactions. Evelyn Partners has announced the sale of its Professional Services arm to funds advised by Apax Partners, with completion expected in Q1 2025. The transaction will result in two standalone businesses: Evelyn Partners, a leading pure-play UK #wealthmanager, and S&W, one of the fastest growing UK #professionalservices firms and a leader in the accountancy mid-market. Evelyn Partners has grown to be one of the largest UK wealth managers over the last decade, with the Permira Funds originally acquiring Bestinvest and combining it with Tilney in 2014. The Group has since completed multiple add-on acquisitions, including the transformative acquisitions of Towry Group in 2016 and the merger with Smith & Williamson in 2020, which was supported by funds advised by Warburg Pincus. During the Permira Funds’ ownership, the Evelyn Partners' AUM has increased from £5 billion (at the end of 2013) to £62.7 billion (as at 30 September 2024). The Permira Funds will retain a majority shareholding in Evelyn Partners going forward, which can now focus its growth strategy exclusively on wealth management, where it is a major player with a strong track record of consistent organic growth and successful M&A.
