About us
Peace Child’s vision is a future where young people play an equal role in society, able to claim their rights and take action on issues affecting their future. Peace Child’s mission is to empower young people to achieve their full potential. Helping them gain the skills and confidence they need to bring about social, economic and environmental change. Peace Child is a youth-driven educational charity, promoting youth participation by supporting young people to build their confidence and develop vital skills such as communication, negotiation and teamwork, all of which are essential in many aspects of their future, especially for employment. We do this through highly innovative and dynamic peer-to-peer training, mentoring and global education programmes which have been designed empower young people to take control of their lives and their future. Our theory of change requires that young people first inform themselves in detail about the challenges they face, then take action to resolve them. The impact of our work has been recognised by the UN who have awarded Peace Child International UN-consultative status (ECOSOC).
