Reflecting on our participation in the 2023 PDNSA conference for the 6th consecutive year, we were reminded of our firm conviction in the crucial role of the PD nurse in Parkinson’s patient management. At that time, we introduced PDMonitor®️, a development that promised a significant transformation in this role, paving the way for a paradigm shift. 📅 Join us today, Sunday, September 29th, at the MDS 2024 Congress in Philadelphia! We’ll also be presenting our research on Identifying Fall Risk in Parkinson’s Disease Patients through Telemonitoring. Our study found that patients who reported at least one fall during the observation period had notably higher fall risk values. This suggests that remote, objective monitoring could be an effective tool for estimating fall risk in Parkinson’s patients, enabling timely interventions right from home to help prevent falls. Don’t miss out on these important findings! #MDS2024 #FallPrevention #Telemonitoring #ParkinsonsDisease #PDNeurotechnology

📅 Join us this Sunday, September 29th, at the MDS 2024 Congress in Philadelphia! We are excited to present our latest research: Telemonitoring-assisted DBS Optimization for Parkinson’s Disease Patients. In this study, we utilized objective telemonitoring to fine-tune the Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) settings and complementary medication for two Parkinson’s patients. Both were experiencing severe dyskinesias and required more than 800mg of levodopa before undergoing DBS. After DBS and telemonitoring optimization, both patients showed significant improvement in their symptoms and a reduction in side effects. These promising results highlight the potential of telemonitoring as a valuable tool for streamlining DBS optimization, reducing the need for time-consuming, in-person adjustments. We look forward to sharing more details this Sunday! #MDS2024 #DBS #Telemonitoring #ParkinsonsDisease #PDNeurotechnology #PDMonitor

Looking back, we are proud to have participated for the 5th consecutive year in the MDS International Congress in Copenhagen. During this congress, our PD Neurotechnology® team had the opportunity to present to Movement Disorders specialists from various countries, sharing the latest developments regarding PD Monitor® and the real-world evidence data from its usage, which was bringing us closer to a paradigm shift in Parkinson's Disease Management. As Professor Konitsiotis, Founder and Medical Director of PD Neurotechnology®, commented at the time: “It was a pleasure to showcase our work that provides evidence that introducing continuous telemonitoring in clinical practice can lead to alleviation of PD symptoms. The outcomes showed great promise, and we firmly believed then, as we do now, that PDMonitor® is bringing us one step closer to a paradigm shift in Parkinson's Disease Management.” For those interested in revisiting the full details and press release, click here: https://lnkd.in/dhyPFudj #internationalparkinsonandMDS #pdneurotechnology #pdmonitor #parkinsonsdisease
