“In the old days, stranded assets largely came about because they were overleveraged. Now it is much worse, in the sense that you need active asset management to avoid stranding. It’s not just about the capital structure. The underlying asset itself may be flawed.” Our MD Keith Breslauer discusses the rise of stranded asset risk in PERE Sustainable Investing report, which explores how investors are facing a substantial risk that their assets may get left behind how due to the combination of a significant interest rate shock and accelerated obsolescence following the tightening of ESG criteria in many markets. As we approach the holiday season, we are pleased to share Patron Capital’s most recent Charitable Initiatives brochure showcasing the key charitable activities our team has accomplished over the past year. With the continued need for charity funding more urgent than ever, our efforts aim to help bridge these gaps and support those in need. As the world grapples with economic instability, rising inequality, and social unrest, initiatives like ours are crucial in ensuring that vulnerable populations receive the support they deserve. The brochure is organized into three main areas of focus: Education, Armed Forces, and Inclusive Society, reflecting our commitment to addressing pressing societal needs in these areas. This is just a small glimpse into Patron’s Charitable Initiatives. I would like to express my gratitude to all our charity partners and the Patron team for their unwavering dedication and constant inspiration, as well as to our long-standing supporters for their valuable contributions to date. We wish everyone Happy Holidays! #CharitableInitiatives #Education #ArmedForces #Community #CharityFunding https://lnkd.in/eB8z2rJ4

The United Nations Women’s 16 Days of Activism against gender-based violence highlights the urgent need to challenge the persistence of gender-based violence and support survivors. Our social impact fund, the Women in Safe Homes fund, launched in partnership with Resonance Limited, works with Cyrenians, an Edinburgh-based charity working to tackle the causes and consequences of homelessness. The fund is buying 30 properties for Cyrenians in Edinburgh to house around 200 women and children over its lifetime. So far, 29 properties have been purchased, 19 are being refurbished, and ten have been handed over to Cyrenians to house women and their children. Hana is one of those women. Having escaped domestic abuse at home, Hana found a safe, clean, stable home for herself and her children, through Cyrenians. You can read Hana’s inspiring story here: https://lnkd.in/e45z9xjA #16DaysOfActivism #noexcuse #socialimpact

The D-Day 80 Channel Crossing expedition with the RMA – Royal Marines Charity that our MD Keith Breslauer took part in earlier this year has been featured in the latest issue of The Paddler. Like last month’s Guildhall Dinner, this formed part of the charitable partnership which has seen Patron Capital raise over £5.6m for the RMA since 2010, helping more than 460 serving and retired service personnel. In commemoration of the 80th anniversary of D-Day and those who served to defend our freedoms, Keith and the RMA Paddle Group completed a 200km journey across the English Channel in folding Klepper Kayaks, followed by a tour of each of Operation Overlord’s landing beach heads and a reenactment of the landings at Sword Beach with 47 Commando, Read the full interview here: https://lnkd.in/gUnMTsrH #ThePaddler #DDay #DDay80 #BeyondInjury #RMFamily #NotDefinedByDisability #PatronCapital

The UN’s 16 Days of Activism against gender-based violence reminds us of the urgent need to support survivors and challenge the persistence of gender-based violence. Through the Women in Safe Homes fund, our social impact fund launched in partnership with Resonance Limited, we are working with Refuge to provide essential accommodation for women escaping domestic abuse. This includes a seven-bed refuge in London, as well as 19 dispersed flats and small family homes that provide survivors with private spaces to aid their recovery. Yet many women still struggle to access the critical support they need. Read more, and understand the intersectional needs of survivors of domestic abuse, here: https://lnkd.in/eZF_sjr3 #16DaysOfActivism #noexcuse #socialimpact
