  • Reflecting on two days with National Housing Federation and its members at the Quality Homes conference. The theme for us, from presenting our latest #innovation to hearing concerns from #housingassociations and consultants, was optimisation over time. 🤦to avoid the cost of rework, when later measures conflict with earlier works 🗺️to make savings by aligning #retrofit with other capital works 🧱to identify redundant measures in planned works, to improve understanding of the net cost of net zero. Our new service #PortfolioPlus does this in a dynamic model that can be adapted to changes in technologies, costs, funding, targets and other drivers and constraints. Our Russell Smith talking now about the different ways in which we get people interested in decarbonising their homes, from running tours of our own homes and talking in church halls to today’s service where we can run the numbers and offer data-driven advice, but also the importance of the sector at large getting credible advice out through different partners as different people trust different voices, at different times. #ecorenovation #retrofit #netzero

  • Wow! Our busiest week ever as our clients start refining their #warmhomes #socialhousing plans. Averaging 6 million variations of measures for 150,000 homes a day, which clients are testing in line with funding guidelines, their own goals and budgets. And still making time to draw breath as a team on a fungi 🍄 foray close to our new CoreLogic UK HQ - leaning about mycorrhizal networks and their many benefits - much like our solutions offer a data network beneath the delivery of #retrofit! #tenuousbuttrue #ukhousing #teamwork #dataanalytics #energyefficiency

  • This week the government shared details of two new funding schemes aiming to raise the #energyperformance of the UK’s housing, as part of the broader journey towards #NetZero. We know that there is no Net Zero without addressing the #energyefficiency of the UK’s housing stock, but, just as importantly, fixing the energy performance of housing will result in warmer homes and lower bills: particularly significant for those on the lowest incomes, for whom energy bills take up a significant percentage of their income. The Warm Homes: Local Grant will provide energy performance upgrades and low carbon heating via #localauthorities for their residents on low incomes in privately owned homes, either as owner occupiers or private tenants, in properties with an EPC score between D and G, covering both those on and off the mains gas grid. The Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund is the latest version of the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund Wave 3, and is for social housing landlords, aiming to reduce fuel poverty, decarbonise homes, make homes healthier, build the supply chain and skills within the social housing sector.get as many of the UK’s 1.2 million social housing properties as possible up to EPC Band C. Our teams from Parity Projects have gone through the new scheme and summarised everything you need to know, including the routes to funding, how to put a bid together and the crucial timings of each scheme. If you’re wondering how you can best understand your housing stock to maximise access to these grants, our team can provide initial advice and modelling to support you. Our software goes beyond standard EPC analysis with options to model across tenure, assess #HHSRS risk across the stock - to deliver on health goals as well as decarbonisation, and identify the potential for #solarPV across your rooftops. If you are not already using our #Portfolio or #Pathways tools and want help with stock analysis, please get in touch. #ukhousing #EPC #MEES

  • Russell Smith talking today at #PEPA Annual Conference on the value of the data that the attending DEAs collect, and how it can support the delivery of #netzero. He also talks of two homes he has deep retrofitted in the past, and how subsequent owners have removed insulation and efficient heating due to their different priorities. An interesting prompt to the policy-makers in the room to not only prompt initial investment but also incentivise maintenance of savings - beyond energy savings.

  • Excellent news, though we know many of our clients have already got their analysis underway. Good luck everyone, and do get in touch if you need additional help! #SHDF #ukhousing #dataanalytics

  • Thanks to Retrofit Information, Support and Expertise and Emma Woods for briefing our customers yesterday on the new wave of #SHDF and the #RISE service. Of particular concern is the move to #SAP10 mid-bid or mid-programme - an issue affecting every Government #energyefficiency programme. While the policy-makers continue to consider options, our #Portfolio software can be used to plan for different eventualities now.

A robust supply chain is vital to effectively deliver retrofit projects at scale. Earlier this year, RISE introduced its supply chain support package for businesses working in construction or supplying products and systems to deliver retrofit projects. We have lots of great resources to support you, including our supply chain advice packs: https://lnkd.in/eCtyEt8h Take a look at the supply chain focused events we have coming up in September: Embedding social value through the supply chain: https://lnkd.in/ett95d3x The role of the supply chain in promoting EDI in retrofit: https://lnkd.in/eXMZBvP9 #Retrofit #RISEretrofit #SupplyChain
