#COP29 has been called "the worst COP in recent memory", which doesn't leave much for the imagination (especially when our newsletter is called "Good Green News"). However, one thing that this year's COP did highlight, was the increasing and overflowing passion and anger from upcoming generations to make bigger and bolder changes. Another leading factor, was the undeniable need to "Trump-proof" funding pledges and global targets, to allow for the US to recover from an inevitable decrease in investment under the presidency of the famous climate-sceptic. 📍 London Climate Technology Show Team Ozone had a great week in London at the Climate Tech Show! There's no denying that data and AI are quickly becoming the biggest factors in all areas of sustainability, from waste management and recycling to carbon accounting and reduction. The role of AI in sustainability is a controversial one: ❌ Some beleive that AI's drain on non-renewable resources and the running of ginormous data centres is impossible to accurately quantify and offset. ✅ Others stand firm that we cannot solve the environmental crisis quick enough without it. The benefits ultimately outweigh the cost. ⁉️ What do you think?
