We went to the Bloomberg Tech summit in #london yesterday. This is our second year there and I must say that the choice of speakers is really good & the panels were valuable (unlike in many other conferences). I also had beautiful & meaningful conversations with a few of the participants, like: Pri Singh Rawal, Morgane Chambon, Will Crosthwait, Kenzy Goodwin, Brett de Bank, Matt Hubert, Michael Hobbs, Maryna Bespianska, Santhosh Settipalli. As you know, the best conversations are not about selling. Some of the topics tackled while sipping some good coffee: the issue of housing in the USA, yoga and ayurvedic medicine, Covid, how to support more women to build companies, esp. fintech, the challenges of building a startup, how Oxford is a better city to raise children than London, how startups and corporations can actually push the innovation forward faster, together, how tasty the food was 😁 #networking #startups #corporates

This was the first workshop I held with Zvezdin :) It was more fun than serious - we're working on this, but we learnt a lot. We talked about Age Verification in the Age of AI for dating platforms. We had the honour of having participants such as regulators from Ofcom, current & potential partners, and even companies from the same industry. 🤝 The workshop wasn't about how cool Outdid is (even though our privacy proposition is hard to beat 😌); it was more of an engaging dialogue with the audience. We made people laugh, brainstormed together how the perfect age verification solution should look like, and better understood the final user. + some added value: chocolate, a small theatre play, interesting facts, short research on how people using dating platforms feel about their solutions. Point 1: In general, this is how presentations should be done, in my opinion, because, at the end of the day, we are talking with human beings, not walls 🙃 People don't want to sit for 50 minutes in a room where companies keep praising their solutions (while avoiding all disadvantages and limitations). Point 2: We strongly believe that the perfect solutions are designed together with the potential beneficiaries. As entrepreneurs, we must always focus on people, how they feel, and how they perceive what we are talking about. It is never about our product (or how many companies I must sell to in order to keep my job—founders, please change these kinds of milestones for your selling teams); it is about the people who will get value from it. In a nutshell, let's turn: ❌ boring presentations TO ✅ engaging ones ❌ the focus on product TO ✅ focus on people ❌ dismissing competition TO ✅ making our companies better ❌ praising our solutions (to the point of misleading) TO ✅ transparent & honest conversations.
