Ending the year on a high note for the Middle East as our CEO, James Scullion, and General Manager Daniel Burbridge spent this past week in Saudi Arabia meeting with our partner National Horizons Petroleum Services, building on our strong relationship. In 2024 we continued to invest in our Middle East operations, establishing a regional entity, moving to a larger facility, and growing our team by eight to enhance our local capabilities. We also appointed Daniel Burbridge as our new Middle East General Manager and secured a number of key contracts. This morning, Offshore Energies UK launched its 2024 Decommissioning Report. This year’s release highlights the sector's challenges, with costs rising despite less work being delivered. With 60% of North Sea topside and subsea decommissioning to take place between 2026 and 2032, it is essential every avenue to reduce cost and enhance efficiency is explored. Reflecting on the report, our Head of Marketing, Samantha Breese, commented: “With tens of billions in decommissioning costs expected this decade, the industry must find smarter, more efficient ways to reduce both financial and environmental impacts. Geothermal projects come with unique challenges, especially in maintaining safe downhole temperatures. When a project in Germany’s Rhine Valley required precise cooling at 3,500m depths, OSSO applied its HPHT expertise to meet the need.
