Last week, members of our UK team travelled to Brazil, joining VP Strategic Partnerships in South America, Patrick Modolo, to meet with regional centres and industry partners. 🌍 During the trip, the team met with Petrobras and Equinor to continue discussions about how we can support industry training and competence gaps.  The team attended the Oil & Gas Decommissioning Trade Mission in Brazil, a networking event hosted by the Deputy General, which was a fantastic opportunity to connect with regional experts. Thank you to Helena Crowther for the invite! A big thank you to ZoomOut Corporate Communication and Oil & Gas Journal for their time spent exploring opportunities for collaboration with in-country specialists to support the growth of OPITO in the region. Enhancing Offshore Safety: BOSIET and HUET Training Standards 🚁 OPITO’s globally recognised BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training) and HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training) standards provide workers with the skills needed to respond effectively to emergencies. From sea survival techniques to practising in a simulated environment, these training programmes are designed to provide offshore workers with the knowledge and skills needed to respond effectively to emergency situations, ensuring their safety in the event of a helicopter emergency. On 3rd December, ADES - Advanced Energy Systems hosted our KSA Industry Forum in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, which brought together key stakeholders to discuss the theme: "Improving Competence and Ensuring Safety." The event featured a busy agenda which included expert insights on competence systems, helideck safety, simulation technologies, as well as OPITO's latest updates on standards being reviewed and new standards being launched, The forum also covered updates on our confined space and working at height standards, providing a platform for feedback and collaboration with key regional stakeholders. 🤝   Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making this another successful forum!
