About us
Founded in 2011 by partners Jamie Mitchell and Mark Callaby, Ohh Deer is an LGBTQ+ owned business known for its playful greeting cards, stationery, and gifts. With a focus on creativity and unique design, we sell our products globally through independent retailers and major national stores. In 2024, we launched Kaleido, our luxury stationery brand, expanding our product offering and reinforcing our position as innovators in the stationery world. We’re passionate about what we do and committed to giving back. Since our inception, we’ve planted over 150,000 trees through our charity partners and supported causes close to our hearts, including Switchboard LGBT, The Butterfly Conservation, and Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. Our efforts to make a positive impact extend across all that we do. In August 2024, we proudly became a Certified B Corporation, meeting rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. This certification affirms our ongoing commitment to using business as a force for good, ensuring we create value for both our customers and the planet. Our co-founder, Mark Callaby, also contributes to the greeting card industry by serving on the UK Greeting Card Association board, where he leads the Diversity and Inclusion sub-committee. We work with over 100 talented artists worldwide, including Gemma Correll, Hello!Lucky, Cath Kidston, Steven Rhodes, Melanie Johnsson, Hartland, Ken the Cat, Twin Pines, Up With Paper, and many more. Each collaboration brings fresh creativity, ensuring Ohh Deer continues to deliver original, high-quality designs that resonate with our customers.

If you’re in the greeting card industry, it will have been hard to miss the longly anticipated news of Royal Mail being sold, receiving approval from the government today. We knew this was coming, The UK Greeting Card Association predicted the sale would happen when the government changed, and they were very much correct. At Ohh Deer, we’ve been actively supporting the work of the GCA, including writing to our new MP; not that they’ve ever responded 👀. We recognise that the Royal Mail needs to change, but today’s news is still a huge worry for us and our industry. It’s not just the greeting card industry that relies on a stable postal service, and like our friends at EARLYBIRD DESIGNS LIMITED have said on ITV News today, we need reassurances that our postal service will continue to meet the needs of our industry as well as the many others who rely on it - we're not convinced that the protections they're saying they're putting in are good enough. The greeting card industry is actually growing - we’re a nation of card lovers and that’s not changing. So to the new owners: please protect our postal service. #RoyalMail #GreetingCards #PostalService #Cardmitment #Protectourpost

✨ We’re beyond excited to introduce our latest range created in collaboration with the V&A (Victoria and Albert Museum), the world’s leading museum of Art, Design and Performance! Launching in 2025, the range includes an assortment of greeting cards, stationery and gift wrapping. Developed using archive assets from the V&A's vast collection of work, we injected them with our signature playful style, fresh colours and unique finishes, to really make the products sing. The products include the use of neon inks, re-coloured artwork, blending different pieces of work together and special finishes including emboss, spot UV and foils. We hope you love them as much as we do! Available to pre-order now alongside over 500 products, why not take a look at our brand-new catalogue? 🤩 https://lnkd.in/eY5Yc3h8

Our brand-new catalogue has just landed, and it's everything you've been waiting for! Packed with incredible finds, phenomenal designs, and spectacular products, it’s truly a showcase of the extraordinary 🌟 But here’s the fun part… While words like marvellous, stunning, fantastic, and remarkable might come to mind, we want YOU to be the first to find the perfect word to describe it! In the (very small) small print: these are all lovely words... just not ones that have been officially used to describe our catalogue… yet 😉 So dive in, discover, and let us know what YOU think — because this catalogue was made for you 💌 #CatalogueLaunch #AmazingDesigns https://lnkd.in/eY5Yc3h8

Prehistoric Animals, Prints, and Punchlines 🦖 We’re over the moon to share our latest license, the Natural History Museum! We definitely thought that we’d have to jump some hurdles with the type of humour we wanted to apply to the range... but they surprised us by encouraging us to go naughtier. We’ve transformed the Museum’s incredible archives into something bold and unexpected. Picture cheeky greeting cards, eye-catching art prints, and all-new postcards bursting with personality. Who says history can’t have a sense of humour? The range includes everything from playful designs inspired by dinosaurs to quirky takes on the Museum’s fascinating collections. It’s fresh, fun, and designed to stand out. We've given you a couple of sneak peeks at the collaboration, but you can pre-order from 2nd December 2024 with products officially landing in stores from January 2025. We'll also be showcasing the collection at one of 8 trade shows early next year — we can’t wait for you to see it all in person.
