Yesterday, our Business Development and Business Support Leadership teams gathered to celebrate our achievements over the past year and set a forward-looking vision. OH One began with a blank canvas, launching in early 2020. In just a few years, we’ve weathered a global pandemic 😷, expanded our service offerings and geographical reach 🌍, achieved SEQOHS accreditation ✅, and delivered vital occupational health services to over 7,000 UK-based employees in the last 12 months 👏 These accomplishments also wouldn’t have been possible without our incredible team of skilled and compassionate clinicians 👨⚕️👩⚕️ Like all new businesses, we've faced challenges, but our foundation remains built on passion, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to high-quality service. Our belief in our team and vision fuels us every step of the way 🫶 Looking to the future, we’re thrilled about the opportunities ahead. With our recent acquisition by The BUSY Group and strengthened partnership with Case-UK, our journey is filled with ‘Unbounded Possibilities.’ #Teamwork #OccupationalHealth #Leadership #OHOne #GrowthMindset #Innovation #FutureReady" Kelly Duddell Diane Barrow (Assoc. Thrilled to see our teams coming together today under our new partnership with Case-UK and The BUSY Group to meet our global CEO, Paul Miles . Today was a great opportunity for our colleagues to hear more of the group’s shared mission and values as we embark on a new journey to create unbounded possibilities for everyone in the UK.
Today, our teams from Case-UK OH One - Occupational Health Health 2 Employment and The BUSY Group came together in Merthyr, Wales, both in person and online, for a warm introduction to Paul Miles the Global Managing Director/CEO of The Busy Group. This meeting was a fantastic opportunity for Paul to connect with our directors, senior management team and colleagues, and to align on our shared vision of driving impactful change in occupational health and employment support across the UK. We were also honoured to receive a meaningful gift from Paul – a stunning piece of artwork titled Pathways. This artwork celebrates diverse journeys and opportunities, symbolising The Busy Group’s commitment to helping individuals explore, learn, and grow. Each pathway converges toward empowerment and self-discovery, reflecting the unique paths we support every day. A huge thank you to Paul for his inspiring words and to our senior management team for their continued leadership. Together, we’re excited to embark on these new paths and create more opportunities for those we serve. Ian Benbow FIEP Diane Barrow (Assoc. As we wrap up an important awareness month for both Menopause and ADHD, it’s been inspiring to see LinkedIn flooded with conversations, insights, and support for these topics. At OH One, we believe that understanding and supporting employees through menopause and neurodivergent challenges, is key to creating an inclusive and thriving workplace. In our latest blog, we talk about why UK employers need to pay attention to these issues, from reducing sickness absence to strengthening DEI efforts. With 900,000 women leaving jobs due to menopause symptoms and only 28% of managers trained in neurodiversity, it’s clear there’s still progress to be made. If you’re a business leader, HR professional, LD, or ally, check out our blog for practical insights on building a supportive workplace. Let’s keep the momentum going and create environments where everyone feels valued and understood. 💡 OH One offers tailored Menopause Awareness and Neurodiversity Awareness bespoke training to support your team’s wellbeing and inclusivity goals. Key Takeaways from the 2024 Autumn Budget 🍂 Today’s budget reflects a proactive approach to addressing the UK's immediate workforce needs while reinforcing support for public health and employment. These measures bring potential benefits to workplaces, employees, and the occupational health sector: 📈 Investment in Skills and Training: A renewed commitment to reskilling and upskilling is vital as industries adapt to evolving demands. Increased funding aims to equip the workforce with the skills needed for a competitive, sustainable economy—a boost for employers looking to foster adaptable, skilled teams ready to tackle future challenges. 🧠 Mental Health Support Expansion: Recognising mental health as essential, the budget introduces additional funding to reduce NHS wait times and expand access to mental health services. This aligns with OH One’s commitment to supporting mental wellbeing at work, giving employers tools to foster healthier, more resilient teams. 🚀 Incentives for SME Employers: SME-targeted tax breaks and incentives will encourage smaller businesses to invest in employee wellbeing. As workplace health becomes central to employee retention, SMEs have greater support to incorporate occupational health services, creating an inclusive workplace for all. 🤝 Health and Employability Initiatives: Funding for disability and long-term condition support schemes reinforces the UK's commitment to an inclusive workforce. These schemes present invaluable opportunities to engage underrepresented workers, helping employers harness the power of a diverse, supported team. OH One is proud to be at the forefront of these advancements, ready to support clients in navigating the changing landscape of workforce health and wellbeing. #OccupationalHealth #WellbeingAtWork #Budget2024

ADHD affects an estimated 2.6m people in the UK, according to the charity ADHD UK Speaking to HR magazine, Prof. Amanda Kirby MBBS MRCGP PhD FCGI, Chair of the ADHD Foundation charity, said, "The experiences of people with ADHD at work are individual and should be treated as such." As occupational health professionals, we believe in nurturing a supportive workplace where everyone feels confident to express their neurodivergence without concerns of bias or judgement. This is made possible by maintaining confidentiality, establishing clear guidelines for reasonable adjustments, and encouraging leaders to champion inclusivity and promote positive conversations around #neurodiversity. We’re passionate about helping businesses create inclusive environments that support all employees, including those who are neurodivergent. #HRcommunity #occupationalhealth #ADHDAwarenessMonth https://lnkd.in/e3pTc-vi

🌍 We know that mental health is no longer something we can ignore. It plays a fundamental role in how we support our teams and ultimately, how we run our businesses. At OH One, we see Occupational Health (OH) as much more than just a solution to problems, it’s about shaping a workplace culture where wellbeing is prioritised from the outset. A key part of this is ensuring managers have the right training. They are often the first to notice when something isn’t right, whether it’s changes in behaviour or a drop in performance, managers can spot the early signs of poor mental health. By giving them the tools to identify these signals early, we help ensure employees receive timely support, which has a direct impact on both productivity and long-term engagement. The benefits are clear: early intervention doesn’t just improve individual outcomes, it reduces absenteeism and keeps teams functioning at their best. At OH One, we take a holistic approach to mental health in the workplace. Through our counselling services, mental health strategies, and resilience training, we work alongside businesses to create environments where employees are not just surviving, but thriving. Our focus is on prevention and ongoing support, helping build stronger, more resilient teams. This #WorldMentalHealthDay, we want to move beyond discussion and take real action. It’s time to prioritise mental health across every level of your organisation.
