Today, at our admin and clerical conference, we have been celebrating and acknowledging the critical role of our admin and clerical staff. Over 1000 members of our workforce are employed in admin and clerical roles, providing essential support to a variety of teams across the Trust. Thank you to all of our incredible admin and clerical colleagues who make a difference to our teams and patients every day 💜

We will be lighting up St Mary's Hospital and Berrywood Hospital purple this week in recognition of Purple Light Up Day which is held annually on 3rd December. This day coincides with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities and is dedicated to celebrating the contributions of disabled people in the workplace. NHFT is a Disability Confident employer and we have lots of policies and initiatives in place to support colleagues who are neurodivergent, have a long-term health condition or have a disability. Our Trust Compassion Commitment also ensures that we are making a conscious effort to be compassionate in all we do for each other at NHFT. As Disability History Month continues, we recognise and celebrate our colleagues who bring personal lived experiences of disability and thank them for all they do.

We hosted the CEO of the General Medical Council (GMC) Charlie Massey and our GMC ELA Theresa Cook today at Berrywood Hospital. Join us for one of our online training sessions on Tuesday 14 January 2025, 3.30am-5pm, via MS Teams. Our sessions are aimed at anyone with a professional interest in children’s and teenagers’ dental health. It’s FREE and a certificate of attendance is available.
