Inspired by our history, using the values of rugby to INSPIRE, SUPPORT & EDUCATE young people to create positive futures
About us
In 1880, Northampton Saints Rugby Football Club was formed when Reverend Samuel Wathan Wigg identified rugby as a way to channel the energies of some of the county’s more troubled youngsters. Today, Northampton Saints Foundation continue his legacy, using the power of sport and the values of rugby to bring a lasting change to young people and their community and to be a place, where anyone can achieve great things. As the charity arm of Northampton Saints Rugby Football Club, the Foundation is completely financially independent from the club meaning your support is vital so we can continue to inspire, support and educate young people through our social and education programmes. Email [email protected] to find out the many ways you can support by becoming a parter, signing up to our corporate scheme, offering a specialist services through workshops or speaking opportunities, fundraising and volunteering. Help us to create positive pathways for young people.

This week, our ambassador Ethan Waller fully embraced his inner 'Mr Christmas,' and rounded up his choir of merry elves for a night of Christmas carols that had more sparkle than a tinsel factory. And the result? Over £9,000 raised for the Foundation - we are blown away! https://lnkd.in/dQS5Jjin

Festive Gonks! An awesome way to raise funds for the Foundation, a huge thank you to Hannah Thomas and everyone who has purchased.
So over the last week I've handmade over 40 Northampton Saints Gonks using their latest Sock Range. As a result of the lovely fans who reached out and ordered a George St.Gonk, they've contributed over £90.00 to the Northampton Saints Foundation! These are the final few, who are almost ready to go to their forever homes! I've also enjoyed having these in the background of my calls each day as the added some fun to my meetings! A fantastic collaboration involving 40 of our students, who collectively completed 80 hours of work experience! Not only did they have fun, each student has developed valuable skills that will enhance their future employability. Without our programmes, they could have been at risk of becoming NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training).
We’re proud to share the incredible collaboration between Toolstation, Northampton Saints, Northampton Saints Foundation, Travis Perkins, and Volunteer It Yourself (VIY) in transforming the Northampton Old Scouts RFC clubhouse! 🏉✨ With funding provided by West Northamptonshire Council, this project brought fresh energy to the clubhouse, with refurbished changing rooms and improved ground maintenance. This fantastic effort showcases the power of partnership in strengthening our local community. 💪 👏 Huge thanks to all the volunteers and contributors who made this transformation possible.

We are all so incredibly grateful for your support. You've made a visible impact across so many areas of the Foundation, thank you for coming on this journey with us ❤️
🏉 Preserving History, Creating Connections: Proudly Supporting the Northampton Saints Foundation 🏉 At Approved, we’re always honoured to support the incredible work of our partnered charity - the Northampton Saints Foundation, with our team stepping up to volunteer in meaningful ways that align with their mission. Members of our team, including Kelly M., Garry Mahdoo, Georgia Raymen and Grace Rust have helped preserve the club’s legacy by sorting, scanning, and archiving historical treasures—like match programmes from the 1980s and player diaries from as far back as 1922. We’ve also had the pleasure of being able to support the Foundation’s Memory Café sessions - a warm, supportive space for individuals experiencing loneliness, memory loss, Alzheimer’s, or other forms of dementia, as well as their caregivers and loved ones. These gatherings foster connection and community, and we’re proud to play even a small part in making a difference. A huge thank you Clare Clarke, Gemma Shields and the rest of the Northampton Saints Foundation team for allowing us to be a part of these impactful initiatives. Whether preserving history or creating moments of joy and comfort, their work inspires us every day. Working together with The Lowdown 🤝 A huge thank you to Charlene Ward-Greef who popped in to deliver a workshop last week! Students on our Employability programmes learnt how the Lowdown can support them, what they can do to help their own mental health and some of the barriers they face for getting support.
