NFRC was pleased to attend a parliamentary reception celebrating the launch of the Federation of Master Builders latest industry report on Monday evening. FMB CEO Brian Berry praised the Government's ambitious target of 1.5 million new homes during their term but stressed the importance of a diversified housing market if they are to be delivered. Housing Minister Matthew Pennycook made clear that SME housebuilders are critical to reaching the Government's target, especially regarding high-quality homes and awkward allotments. Shadow Housing Minister Kevin Hollinrake said the housing problem was primarily apolitical, and there was much room for collaboration. The FMB's new report, "Supporting SME Housebuilders: Challenges and Opportunities", can be read here: https://ow.ly/IVKJ50UspKR
