Santa's little helpers at News Scotland delivered our office Christmas donations to Launch Foods today! 🎄 🚀 Launch is not only a fantastic place to enjoy a coffee, cake, or lunch, but every purchase helps to feed a hungry child in Glasgow. In response to Glasgow’s alarming child poverty rates, Launch Foods foundation was established in 2018 with the sole purpose of tackling child food poverty in the city. 100% of all profits from Launch Coffee go towards supporting the operations of Launch Foods’ foundation. This is just a small part of what Launch does for the wider community – it is a remarkable organisation with a strong commitment to community values. Over the past month, our team has been collecting donations of hats, scarves, gloves, and selection boxes for the kids. JP was overjoyed and very thankful for the donations. If you are in Glasgow, please visit their cafe, and keep an eye out for their new location opening in Princes Square in 2025. Nicola Gribben Liz Mulgrew Launch Foods

Some more good news for The Irish Sun's 'The Stardust Tragedy' podcast which won another award yesterday at the Mental Health Media Awards. Produced by urbanmedia, the 8 part series details the harrowing impact of the Stardust disaster. Fiona Wynne, Editor of The Irish Sun, said: "It is a great honour to receive this award. While creating The Stardust Tragedy, we were acutely aware of the significant mental health toll the devastating event had, not only on the families of the victims, but also on their children and their children's children and the community as a whole. Although the story of the Stardust is well known in Ireland, the impact on the mental health of those left behind, the survivors of the blaze, the first responders, and the ripple effect felt by so many over the years had never been explored. It was an important conversation to have. All credit must go to the courageous families of the 48 young people who lost their lives. We are immensely grateful to them for trusting us to tell their stories." This is the second national award for The Stardust Tragedy which was also named Podcast of the Year at the recent Newsbrands Ireland Journalism Awards. 🙌
