The UK’s leading cyber security research and education universities were briefed on the latest threat picture during a recent GCHQ-hosted event. Discussions also took place on a number of other relevant topics, including research as well as academic links with GCHQ's history. Vice Chancellors and ACE-CSE & CSR Directors from 27 universities met with Director GCHQ Anne-Keast Butler and National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) Chief Technical Officer Ollie Whitehouse at the gathering in GCHQ’s Cheltenham base. We are grateful for the engagement of our partners in academia as we continue to build resilience in the sector, and we look forward to continuing that relationship into the future.
