🇵🇸 On this United Nations International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, we call for an immediate and lasting ceasefire in Gaza. Over the past year, relentless attacks on Gaza have killed 44,330 and injured over 103,000, the majority being women and children. 🕊️Peace can only be achieved when the illegal occupation and apartheid system in Palestine come to an end. The international community must act to decisively end the suffering of the Palestinian people and uphold its responsibility to ensure Palestinians can realise their fundamental right to self-determination.

We welcome the news of a ceasefire in Lebanon, where over 3,500 lives have been lost and millions displaced. Many British Lebanese families have expressed relief, hoping to avoid the loss of more loved ones. Meanwhile, the situation in Gaza remains critical. Over 44,282 have been killed, and millions displaced due to the ongoing Israeli war. We urge the UK government and the international community to push for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza, end the killing, and ensure humanitarian aid reaches those in desperate need.
