Last night we welcomed Mentoring Matters to our Kensington head office for an in-conversation with our Chief Operations Officer, Dharmini Chauhan and Victoria Gonzalez, our Head of Leather Goods Design, moderated by Mentoring Matters’ own candidate Kiara Morris. The talk was followed by an audience question and answer session, before guests gathered for festive drinks and an opportunity to meet the wider Mulberry team. The event celebrated our continued partnership with Mentoring Matters, now entering its third year. Mentoring Matters is a global mentorship scheme which offers support, advice, and inspiration to underrepresented candidates from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic backgrounds starting out in the creative industries. Dharmini and Victoria discussed a range of topics, including their current roles at Mulberry and the moments that have shaped their careers, as well as sharing wider industry insights – from AI to sustainability and collaborations. Today we published our latest Sustainability Report, sharing progress we’ve made towards the key pillars of our sustainability manifesto, The Five Cs – Climate, Cultivation, Craft, Circularity, and Culture. Some highlights from our year include the Science Based Targets initiative validating our near-term climate reduction targets, underpinning our continued commitment to progressive British luxury; commissioning Somerset Wildlife Trust to carry out biodiversity assessments of our two UK factories, showing us the actions needed to protect local wildlife; welcoming our 160th apprentice to the business; launching The Mulberry Exchange in China; and our employees volunteering 1,135 hours to charities and organisations, including our long term partner The Felix Project. A significant milestone in our sustainability journey is our recent B Corp certification, a reflection of our purpose-led approach. But we know there is more to do. Over 182,000 working families in London have less than £3 a day to spend on food. This winter, we’re proud to once again support The Felix Project in their efforts to fight food poverty. With costs and bills rapidly rising, 1 in 4 working Londoners struggle to feed their families. That’s why The Felix Project have launched their 2024 Empty Plate Emergency Appeal. Donating just £20 will provide 50 nutritious meals to those who need it the most during this vital time. If you’re able to, make a difference now at https://lnkd.in/eurmCQSF

The Art of Gifting This festive season, excess is out and forever-gifts are in. From evergreen Icons in a suite of tactile leathers to sumptuous scarves and small-scale accessories, explore a selection of Mulberry styles designed to delight. In our playful campaign, photographer Anton Gottlob returns to capture the joyous spirit of the season set amidst a series of quintessential London scenes – a London Black Cab, our Regent Street flagship after dark, and the quaint paved streets that line the city capital. Interspersed with these lively – and often intimate – mises-en-scène is a second set of imagery, also shot by Gottlob. Bringing our suite of festive ‘forever gifts’ to the fore, both new season and iconic classics are captured against a mix of both bold and identifiably British backdrops. For her, for him, or yourself – master the art of festive gifting with Mulberry. Discover the campaign: https://lnkd.in/es5Z94gn #MulberryEngland

Mulberry is proud to announce its B Corp Certification - a milestone in the brand’s journey to a regenerative and circular model, and a reflection of its purpose-led approach to progressive British luxury. B Corp is a rigorous evaluation of social and environmental impact – and certification shows that we’re meeting high standards of performance, responsibility, and transparency on a range of factors from supply chain and input materials, to charitable giving and employee benefits. B Corp Certification requires a score of 80. Mulberry achieved a score of 87.1, earning a particularly high score in the Environment category, underpinned by the brand’s commitment to responsible sourcing and product circularity. We’re excited to join this inspiring global community, and to draw on their knowledge and expertise to support our ongoing transformation to a regenerative and circular business model. But becoming B Corp Certified isn’t our end goal. Rather, it offers a framework to help us accelerate our longstanding sustainability work, and to achieve the ambitious commitments we set out in our 2021 Made to Last manifesto.
