Veterinary diagnostic testing evolution, innovation, research and solutions

About us

MI:RNA Diagnostics have developed a novel early disease detection technology for the veterinary market that uses microRNA biomarkers to accurately identify if disease is present, through blood sample analysis. By combining this method with an artificial intelligence learning model to enable interpretation, they have adopted a true precision medicine approach. Paving the way, they hope, for many other innovative solutions in this field. It is their mission to reduce disease through research and innovation, resulting in a cascade of ethical, environmental, and economic benefits.

  • Earlier this month, our CEO and founder Eve Hanks attended the Pet Connect conference in Los Angeles, an event that never fails to amaze us with its creativity and innovation in the animal health space. From groundbreaking med-tech advancements to unique ventures like dog astrology, the conference showcased the incredible range of ideas shaping the future of our industry. One of the most valuable aspects of this trip was the opportunity to connect with investors and strategic partners. Building strategic relationships is vital to propel MI:RNA Diagnostics’ mission to transform animal health through cutting-edge microRNA diagnostics. It’s events like these that remind us why we do what we do—and what’s possible when innovation meets purpose.

Read all about it! Have you spotted us in the news recently? Last week Robert Coultous, our CSO and co-founder, was profiled in dvm360® discussing mitral valve disease and how our microRNA-based technology has demonstrated its ability to detect this common disease in dogs earlier than conventional techniques. “Our research marks a significant advance in personalised veterinary care and diagnostic techniques. By identifying this disease before symptoms arise, we’re empowering veterinarians with a valuable tool to intervene early.” https://lnkd.in/eFHtGKFq

  • MI:RNA team members attended the excellent "Action Johne's Conference: Taking the Next Steps", held in Worcester last week. The launch of Phase III of the Action Johne’s Initiative was centerstage. Vets, farmers, milk purchasers and a range of industry representatives had the opportunity to discuss the management of the disease, and appreciate the progress achieved so far and the challenges going forward. Here at MI:RNA, we are committed to the challenge of enhancing diagnosis and disease management: "Stopping the Tap" at the source of infection in the first instance. https://lnkd.in/gHcrZjWS
