    📉 Stocks Slide Amid AI Sector Decline Recent days have seen a notable decline in stock markets across the US and Asia, primarily driven by a drop in technology and AI-related shares. Companies like Nvidia, a leader in AI chips, saw steep declines. Nvidia shares have dropped 6.8% and lost about 15% in value over the last two weeks. With financial results expected at the end of August, many investors are holding their breath for what comes next. Elon Musk's Tesla wasn't immune either, with shares falling more than 12% following financial results that didn't quite meet investor expectations. Meanwhile, Alphabet, the parent company of Google and YouTube, faced a 5% drop despite reporting strong financial results earlier this week. Alphabet disclosed that its expenditure on AI development will remain high for the rest of 2024, raising concerns among investors about the immediate return on these investments. In Asia, major chipmakers such as Renesas Electronics, Tokyo Electron, and South Korea's SK Hynix experienced significant losses.
