Last night, we hosted our Marston’s National Pub of the Year Awards 2024. For the first time ever, the awards featured pubs and people from both our managed and partnership estates meaning the competition has been bigger and the search wider than ever before. Twelve months of gathering data, two half-year regional and divisional heats, over 800 individual nominations, and an entire panel of judges travelling up and down the country to create our shortlist. With the support and generosity of our suppliers, we headed North choosing the swanky Rum Warehouse at Titanic, Liverpool, where alongside our COO, members of the Executive Board and Operations Leadership Team we gathered our national finalists and plus ones for an evening of celebration and recognition. Here’s what he had to say about the night – “This year’s Pub of the Year awards were spectacular! The night was a fantastic opportunity for us to come together to recognise and celebrate the achievements of everyone inside – and indeed outside – the room. It was a memorable evening, full of inspirational stories and a testament to the dedication and hard work put into the last 12 months. It was clear to see how proud people were in the room, both of themselves and each other. As we prepare for 2025 and beyond, I’m excited to see our pubs doing it all over again, and even more, as we set out to deliver our Marston’s strategy. A huge congratulations to our winners and all those who were recognised either as a national finalist or as a regional and divisional winner”. A huge thank you to our suppliers, and congratulations to all of our finalists and winners. Here’s to 2025! #Celebrate #Recognition #Awards #PubOfTheYear #WherePeopleMakePubs

We're thrilled to announce our partnership with the Royal British Legion to create exclusive poppy-themed glasses for this year's Poppy Appeal! Starting from 26th October , you can purchase these unique pint and half-pint glasses at 1,175 Marston's pubs across the UK, with 100% of profits donated to Royal British Legion. This is just one piece of activity in our Month To Remember, during which Marston's pubs nationwide host special events to honour and fundraise for veterans.- from community breakfasts and poppy walks to live music. Marston's has long supported the veteran community and their families, and in February 2024, we renewed the Armed Forces Covenant to continue providing employment opportunities for veterans and their families. We're proud to have several of our pubs run by or staffed with ex-serving veterans. Let's make a difference and show our support for those who have served our country. Visit your local Marston's pub, raise a glass, and take home a piece of this special partnership to support the Royal British Legion. 🍻 Find a participating pub near you: https://lnkd.in/esM4z-nd #PoppyAppeal #MonthtoRemember #MarstonsPubs

Earlier this week we were delighted to welcome shareholders, analysts, and new potential investors to our 2024 Capital Markets Day. It was great to see so many attendees in-person as we presented our updated growth strategy and financial targets as we enter a new chapter as a pure play hospitality business. Our strategy centres on creating a high margin, highly cash generative local pub company based on differentiated formats and a brand portfolio that is naturally balanced to appeal across a range of consumer segments. It also prioritises guest satisfaction by delivering tailored, high-quality experiences for our customers. The strategy will see us focus on driving revenue growth ahead of the market, delivering sustained EBITDA margin expansion and £50m+ recurring free cash flow in the near term. A recording of the event and a copy of the presentation can be found on our investor website here: https://lnkd.in/eH69qBDB #growth #guestsatisfaction #leadingoperatingmodel #localpubcompany

💥NATIONAL INCLUSION WEEK DAY SIX: SOCIAL NETWORK💥 Our vibrant Social Network is a dedicated group of people who organise and host fundraising events at our Head Office, bringing people together to celebrate inclusion and raise awareness and funds for Marston’s Charitable Foundation. 🥳 We're incredibly proud to share that these events have raised an impressive £10,000 this financial year! This is donated to our Charitable Foundation who use the money to support charitable organisations close to the hearts of our pubs, our teams, and their communities. ❤️ Our charitable impact this past year includes: 🤝 The Big Spring Giveaway, where we donated £500 each to 10 charities, including supporting the training and care of Ozzy the Sensory Dog at a local school, and supporting Dancing With Dementia. 🤝 Brodie’s Fund, where we contributed £4,500 to life-saving allergy treatment for the granddaughter of our Manager at The Wirral One Hundred. 🤝 Defibrillator funding - we've topped up fundraising for defibrillators in three of our pubs and aim to contribute the final £250 for any pub that needs it. We’re looking forward to making even more of an impact for charity as our social calendar continues!
