Galley manufacturer GN Espace has added a new series of electric induction cookers, plus built-in ovens, to its Explorer range of compact cookers. The cookers are aimed at the motorboat, catamaran and riverboat market. The company says the cookers and ovens are energy efficient, reliable and robust. It also believes that electric cooking is the future for boating as moving away from traditional gas provides a safer, fume-free and moisture-free environment. This latest addition adds to the wide range of cookers the company already makes for different fuels. #marineindustry #newproduct #business #marinetech #efficient #motorboats #sales #catamarans Keep up to date with the latest industry news. The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) is enhancing its lifesaving capabilities with an inflatable staircase, originally designed for superyachts. FunAir – a company normally associated with light-hearted products such as superyacht golf domes and inflatable climbing playgrounds – first collaborated with the RNLI in 2023 to adapt its Seastairs for maritime rescue operations. The Rescue Seastairs were successfully trialled by RNLI lifeboat crews last year and have since been rolled out for operational use at lifeboat stations in south-east England. #marineindustry #lifesaving #superyachts #rescue #lifeboat #leisuremarine #watersports Keep up to date with the latest industry news. Scotland’s recreational boating community has united in opposition to Peel Ports Clydeport’s proposal to introduce a conservancy fee for leisure craft operating in the Clydeport area. Concerns have been raised that the fee will restrict freedoms to sail in Scottish waters, harm marine tourism and impact small coastal communities. “The area proposed to be subject to this new fee appears to be quite unprecedented in Scottish, and indeed UK terms,” says Alan Kohler from Cruising Association Celtic Section. “This covers a huge area of waters, most of which is not recognisable as a ‘harbour’ in common usage, and indeed much is, by contrast, remote and beautiful waters with minimal commercial traffic – such as the Kyles of Bute and the entire length of Loch Fyne.” #marineindustry #tourism #sailing #leisuremarine #business #commercial #watersports #communities Keep up to date with the latest industry news. Vision Marine Technologies and Armada Pontoons have unveiled a strategic partnership to address a growing market challenge: boating on North America’s increasingly regulated lakes. The collaboration targets a specific and expanding niche created by environmental restrictions in states like Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, which have implemented motor limitations to protect local ecosystems. The firm highlights the potential market opportunity due to the nearly 480,000 lakes and reservoirs in the US and over 3 million lakes in Canada. Alexandre Mongeon, CEO of Vision Marine, explains: “This pontoon represents a new opportunity for families and boaters who’ve long sought a turn-key, regulation-friendly solution without compromising on quality or ease of use. #marineindustry #business #marinetechnology #marketing #enviroment #sustainable #ecosystems #sailing Subscribe to our FREE daily newsletter: https://lnkd.in/di64Cnc3
