The Manchester Metropolitan University's Degree Apprenticeships team had an amazing Christmas Away Day this week.🎄🎉 We enjoyed festive team-building activities and reflected on the year’s successes and challenges. It was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the incredible work across all departments at the University that come together to provide an outstanding service to our apprentices and employer partners. 2025 will mark our 10-year anniversary of delivering degree apprenticeships and to honour this, we took a special look back to recognise the journey we’ve taken as a department. #McrMetProud

Thank you to everyone at The Manchester Metropolitan University – colleagues, students, alumni and partners - for everything that you’ve done to make 2024, our bicentenary, a very special year to remember; I couldn’t be more proud of you all. In common with universities across the country, we have great stories to tell about our teaching and learning, the achievements of our students, and the impact of our research and innovation. We can point to an exciting, vibrant and connected campus at the heart of a great global city. We can reflect on the vital contribution that we make to our city region and the businesses, employers and communities we serve. We can look across the world at our international partnership and the differences that they make. All these things transform lives and make our country a better place for everyone. This is what universities do. None of this would be possible at Manchester Met without our people nor the culture that characterises us, which feels friendly, inclusive, collaborative and values-led. I often think that we measure so much in the sector but sometimes overlook what it actually feels like to part of an amazing university community. I’ll leave you with this short reel, which looks back over our 200-year celebrations, and wish everyone a safe, happy, healthy, prosperous and productive 2025. #universities #highereducation #education #impact #community #culture #future #mcrmetproud
