DORA is a new EU regulation designed to strengthen the digital resilience of financial institutions and their IT providers. It creates a unified framework to reduce cyber threats and IT incidents, ensuring the financial sector is better protected and more secure across Europe. With DORA coming into force on January 17, 2025, the financial sector across Europe is preparing for a seismic shift in how digital resilience and cybersecurity are managed. As someone leading operations within MAM Gruppe, I know first-hand how vital it is to ensure our business remains compliant, legal, and operationally resilient. Whilst DORA won’t impact us directly as a recruitment company, DORA isn’t just a challenge for IT and cybersecurity teams, it’s a cross-functional effort, impacting risk management, incident response, and third-party oversight across all these types of businesses.
