About us
Literacy Capital is a closed-end investment company focused on investing in and supporting UK businesses and helping their management teams to achieve long-term success. We are also unique in that we are the only investment fund of our type to have been set up with a charitable objective. We have a much more flexible approach than is typical in the investment industry. This gives us the capability to take a longer term view and creates better alignment with our stakeholders, including the companies we invest in and our own shareholders. Literacy Capital also has a unique charitable objective which it actively supports, as it makes donations amounting to 0.9% of net assets each year to UK literacy charities. Approximately £2m has been donated by Literacy Capital since inception.

We are delighted that Antler Homes has been named amongst the UK’s fastest growing private-equity-backed businesses, underlining the positive impact growth businesses are having on the economy, according to a new report. The inaugural Private Equity Value Report from Real Deals, developed in association with BDO, found that growing PE portfolio companies achieved an average EBITDA* increase of 58.9% over the same three-year period while average revenues grew by 22.2%. Antler Homes was featured in a list of the fastest growing businesses in the south east, which were showcased for their achievements over the past three years, including EBITDA growth and job creation. Andrew Rinaldi, Managing Director, said: “It’s fantastic to be named alongside so many impressive businesses and is testament to the support of our investors and the hard work of our team. It’s important to shine a light on the positive impact that private equity investment can have on business’ ambitions and their contribution to their industries and the economy.”
