About us

The first brand-agnostic platform tracking products from sale to end-of-life. Closing data gaps. Cutting emissions. Reducing waste. LAYBL is a seamless tech solution that connects brands' point-of-sale items to consumers through a smart digital wardrobe. Our platform integrates with post-sale activations like repair, resale, upcycling, and recycling, creating a continuous data exchange between brands and customers, which enhances loyalty and deepens the consumer relationship. By digitising the circular phase, LAYBL fills a data black hole - tracking product use beyond the point of sale, a critical gap in the fashion industry. As brands face increased waste taxes and regulations, LAYBL enables them to capture valuable insights and contribute to the circular economy. This data empowers brands to resell products, encourage repairs, and connect with circular partners, helping unlock economic value from previously overlooked resources. LAYBL plays a pivotal role in shaping a data-driven circular economy, providing live insights that support both consumer engagement and industry-wide sustainability efforts.

ESPR, CSRD, DPP, EPR, Green Claims Code, Fashion Sustainability and Social Accountability Act, Responsible Textile Recovery Act. Navigating sustainability regulations is a global maze that’s only getting more complex. Most brands are going to wait until regulations force their hand, but the forward-thinking ones? They’ll seize opportunities early and turn compliance into a competitive edge. • Everything we do has an impact – on business, the planet, and people. But how many of us truly own that impact? In a world where fast fashion fuels overproduction and waste, every purchase counts. Every discarded garment has a story. We have a choice: let it end there or let it begin again. At LAYBL, we believe that owning your impact starts with understanding and action. That’s why we’re building the first brand-agnostic platform to track every item of clothing – from sale to end-of-life. It’s not just about buying less; it’s about buying better, choosing a journey, and making every stitch count. 🔍 Track what you own. 🧵 Repair what’s worn. ♻️ Resell what’s unloved. 🔄 Rethink what’s next. Track your impact, one LAYBL at a time. #Sustainability #CircularFashion #Impact #LAYBL #OwnYourImpact

Digital Product Passports and solving the clothing waste problem // Currently raising SEIS/EIS

Great fire side chat with Adam Root of Matter this morning at the #NatwestAccelerator in Bristol. So insightful and frank on topics ranging from founder mental health and burnout, to navigating investment, angels and VCs, particularly as an impact-led business. You could tell a lot of us in the room needed to hear some of this stuff and Adam's time was a gift well received/appreciated. And again, helpful to be out of the house and mixing with our amazing cohort this morning, see you all again tomorrow!

Digital Product Passports and solving the clothing waste problem // Currently raising SEIS/EIS

LAYBL managed to grab a spot for a second cohort in the Natwest Accelerator recently, so I've spent much of this week gearing up to be more personally involved this time (the last cohort was all Jen!) as part of the ignition week. I've met some incredible entrepreneurs already this week and the hardest bit might be concentrating on my own business when I'm surrounded by so many other interesting people and problems! It also meant I had to quickly whip up my own version of the dreaded "60 second pitch" and perform it as part of a cohort wide competition. I was really stoked to make the final 7 pitches, and thanks to my working group for putting me through from our group 🙏🏻 I didn't win but then the other 6 pitches were so amazing, I genuinely had no idea who was going to win in the end. But, I definitely think LAYBL deserved to win best hook: "I would like you to imagine your laundry basket "Now image it piled up with everyone else’s till it’s the height of Mount Everest "That’s the amount of clothing that’s being burned or buried in landfill every 7 minutes" Apparently there was an audible gasp, I'll take it, although I didn't hear it because my pulse in my eardrums was deafening me at the time 😂 But yeah, it's a shocker right? It's a reminder of why we're doing what we're doing at LAYBL though. While we're constantly working to get our product fit and message correct, the one thing that literally doesn't change, is the scale and importance of our mission. Keeping apparel out of landfill, one LAYBL at a time 😎

Founder - Neem London. Style that doesn't cost the earth. Follow for the pains and gains of start up fashion life and views on the future of fashion. As well as being a middle aged entrepreneur

Are we really building a circular system? 🤔 Here are Four SHOCKING statistics of #fashion waste: 1. 92 million tonnes of textile waste is produced every year. Only 1% is recycled back into new materials. 2. The number of times a garment is worn has declined by around 36% in 15 years. 3. Nearly 10% of microplastics dispersed in the ocean each year come from textiles. 4. Fast fashion brands are producing twice the amount of clothes today than in 2000. At Neem London, we take responsibility for the life of our products to manage waste in the correct way. If you buy a shirt from Neem London and wear it for longer than 6 months, then send it back to us, we will give you £50 in cash and £30 in Neem London credit - we believe we are the first in the UK to offer this! We only use recycled, recyclable, and regenerative materials that we take full ownership of. We want to take accountability for our product; it’s an asset that we’ve brought into the world. Working with charles and LAYBL allows this. The question is, I believed this was only possible when hardcoding into a brand from day 1. We believe this can be scaled - do you? Join us in the circular revolution. https://neemlondon.com/ #circularfashion #circulareconomy #sustainability #menswear

Founder & CEO, LAYBL: the first brand agnostic platform tracking from sale to end of life: closing data gaps, cutting waste, reducing emissions | Raising S/EIS 🚀 | Tech for Good Entrepreneur | Purpose Driven | New Mama

Last night I ditched the wellies and made my way out of the countryside to the bright lights and cool sights of London's Shoreditch for Blue Earth Summit Future of Fashion event. It was so inspiring to be surrounded by a room full of people who care about the future of our planet, and to hear about the incredible solutions being developed to propel sustainability in the industry forward. A key highlight from the industry panel of experts Simon PlattsMARY FELLOWESClaudine Rousseau and Nick Davies was around how we need more transparency in the supply chain, and beyond. And how we, as consumers, can play a pivotal role in driving change. This is core to what we do at LAYBL so it was amazing to be able to take the stage and pitch alongside Emily Axten from Xeros and Genia Mineeva from BEEN. It's the sign of a great event when you leave feeling hopeful for the future. ✨ (PS: we're currently raising so if you are - or can introduce us to - any impact investors interested in a high-growth, ambitious and purpose-led business, we'd love to chat) (PPS: and if you're a brand and would like to know more about how LAYBL can help you track the longevity and durability of the products you produce, drop me a note below)

Earlier this week I had the opportunity to pitch LAYBL to a 100-strong audience including investors and mentors (and lots of others!) as part of the NatWest Accelerator Pitching Showcase. It was such a great event, and reminded me that: 🎤 It’s always good to get up in front of an audience and talk (especially when doing that is SO out of your comfort zone!). As a founder, you’re always selling your business to whoever you’re talking to, and doing pitches and talks really helps you refine (simplify!) how you talk about it, and builds your confidence the more you do it. (I definitely need to do it more) ☀ People genuinely want to help - and want you to succeed. Whether that is through funding, connections, introductions, challenging questions, feedback - it’s all so incredibly helpful. Especially as a start-up founder. 📣 Talking to lots of people doing different and interesting things - founders, advisors, coaches, business people - is so good, and so important. You never know where these conversations can lead. Plus it’s really inspiring and heartening to hear what others are doing / achieving, but also to find out that you have a community around you that has experienced some of the same challenges as you. It can be so easy to slip into ‘just doing the work’ but nothing beats getting out there and talking to people. What a buzz. 🐝 Thank you to Elly Rowley and Jason Nichols for organising such a fab event and huge congrats to the other members of my cohort who also pitched: Harry O'Brien, Oliver Stroud, Jess Woodsford & Rose Sellman-Leava, Bianca Jones Assoc CIPD, and Alli Lucy (Briaris). If you’re a start-up founder and not part of an accelerator, it’s definitely worth exploring as it’s so great to be part of a community. I’m part of the Natwest Accelerator, and they’re currently accepting applications across the UK until 16th Feb so do check it out. #femalefounders #femaleentrepreneur
