Today we released a Bougouni Lithium Project Update, confirming we are on track for first production in Q1 2025 and on budget at US$65m. Highlights: · Shipment carrying remaining steelwork, mechanical equipment, electrical equipment and piping materials has arrived at Abidjan Port and en route to site. · Construction progress is accelerating and structural steel erection work is progressing well with all major buildings taking shape, including main DMS module. · Open pit mining at Ngoualana deposit is ahead of schedule, with several blasts conducted in the hard rock. The main Ngoualana ore body is exposed and a total of 59,500 tonnes of ore, grading on average 1.20% Li2O was mined in preparation for commissioning. Bernard Aylward, CEO of Kodal Minerals said: "The acceleration in the Bougouni Lithium Project development is very pleasing. The crushing circuit and the DMS processing plant is rapidly taking shape and the commissioning of the crushing circuit will commence in December 2024 followed by the DMS units." "Additionally, the diamond core drilling results received from the Boumou prospect confirm the continuity of the wide, high grade pegmatite veins and highlight the potential to continue to expand the mineral resource base at the Boumou prospect. “The next phase of drilling will also include geotechnical drilling and metallurgical sampling for assessment of the open pit development of the Boumou prospect." We released an update on our Bougouni Lithium Project in Mali today: · First production aimed for Q1’25 · $65m capex budget still on target · Long lead items delivered onsite & installation commencing · Civil construction works +90% complete · Mining of pegmatite ore commenced; 9 blasts conducted & ore stockpile growing. Bernard Aylward, CEO of Kodal Minerals said: "The development of the Bougouni Lithium Project by KMUK continues to gain momentum, with the recent delivery of the DMS and crushing circuit equipment to the site and the subsequent commencement of building onsite. Positively, the open pit mining is continuing ahead of schedule and a stockpile of ore is being built. However, the cumulative effect of heavy rainfall coupled with delays in shipping and transport to the site had led to the prudent decision taken by management to advise of a potential delay in first production by a small number weeks to early Q1 2025."
