HM The King was joined last week by Apple CEO Tim Cook for a truly festive visit to Battersea Power Station and Apple’s HQ! HM visited a pop-up marketplace hosted by Curated Makers, organised by entrepreneur and King's Trust alumnus, Megan Jones. He met with stallholders representing small and local businesses – including Trust-supported businesses Frank’s Remedies and Ribbon and Bow. After visiting the marketplace, The King continued to Apple’s offices. There, he met young people being supported to build their confidence and develop creative digital skills through The Trust’s education programmes, which are generously supported by Apple. Through leveraging Apple technology and learning resources, The Trust’s partnership with Apple has empowered young people to channel their creativity and learn digital skills, including coding and app design, since 2019.

On Monday we hosted our Carol Concert, in partnership with Cunard at St Paul's Church, Knightsbridge. It was a magical night with a range of incredible performances and readings from a host of our celebrity ambassadors, The Choir of St Paul's, The London Youth Choir and our very own King's Trust Choir. Thank you to all who attended, supported and helped make the night so special. Together, we've raised over £230,000 to help change young lives. Make sure to tune in to Magic Classical at MagicFM on Christmas Eve at 7pm to listen to the broadcast of the event.

It was a pleasure to welcome British Chambers of Commerce and Chancellor Rt Hon Rachel Reeves to our South London Centre yesterday. There were some engaging discussion about strategies to boost economic growth, which we know youth employment is critical to. Investing in the potential of young people is not just an opportunity—it's a necessity for building a prosperous future. #EconomicGrowth #YouthEmployment #InvestingInTalent
We were delighted to welcome the Chancellor, Rt Hon Rachel Reeves, at this mornings Business Council meeting, to reflect on October's Budget and the Government's long-term strategies for stimulating growth. 📈🧰 Hosted at the headquarters of The King's Trust, a Business Council member, the event offered senior business leaders the chance to directly discuss the effects of policy measures, including the increase in employer national insurance contributions, with the Chancellor. The Chancellor was greeted on her arrival at the event by our Director General Shevaun Haviland. 🤝 Martha Lane Fox, President of the British Chambers of Commerce and Chair of the Business Council, said: “With costs rising it is vital the Government delivers on its promise to create long-term frameworks for economic stability. Rt Hon Rachel Reeves MP, Chancellor of the Exchequer said: "It was a pleasure to attend the British Chambers of Commerce's Business Council today to discuss long-term plans to boost economic growth. My Budget was one to wipe the slate clean in the face of an inherited £22bn blackhole and bring businesses the stability they desperately need. It involved difficult decisions, but has laid the foundations for growth, and our partnership with business will be vital to delivering that." #WhereBusinessBelongs #EconomicGrowth #BusinessLeaders #ChambersOfCommerce #BusinessCouncil #ChancellorVisit #PolicyDiscussion

This December, we’re thrilled to unveil a collaboration that’s as impactful as it is delicious... 🍫🎄 The King’s Trust has teamed up with Amazon and plant-based chocolate brand H!P Chocolate | B Corp to launch a limited-edition ‘Figs in Blankets’ chocolate bar - now available exclusively on Amazon for £3.50, with 15% of every sale going directly to support young people. This exciting twist on a festive classic was dreamed up by Enterprise alumni and talented illustrator, Louise Coutinho. As well as being the creative mind behind the bar, Louise collaborated with H!P’s design team, playing a key role in bringing her idea to life through the bar's design, which features her signature smiley faces. We’re so proud to work with partners like Amazon who champion the many talents of young people through exciting projects like this one. Amazon is a Platinum Patron of The King’s Trust and a founding partner of our Strengthening Diversity Fund. Amazon has pledged £1 million to the fund over four years. So why not treat yourself or a loved one this festive season? Get your ‘Figs in Blankets’ chocolate bar now at https://lnkd.in/et7EYq27
