🚀 SEO doesn’t have to be complicated. Here’s a simple yet effective strategy to boost your site’s performance: 1️⃣ Structure Your Site: Use a logical parent/child folder relationship for pages (e.g., Parent: /solutions/, Child: /solutions/analytics/) and link to the child pages from the parent pages. 2️⃣ Identify Keywords: Conduct a keyword gap analysis and exploratory research (Ahrefs works great for this) to find top, middle, and bottom-of-funnel keywords your target market is searching for. 3️⃣ Group Keywords: Use a tool like Keyword Insights to group keywords. Clean these manually to ensure accurate and relevant groupings. 4️⃣ Map Keywords to Pages: Map keyword groups to existing pages or identify content gaps (Screaming Frog can help you identify indexable pages on your site). 5️⃣ Create New Content: Build content for keyword groupings where no good fit currently exists on your site. 6️⃣ Build High-Quality Backlinks: Focus on a mix of home, solutions, and blog pages with varied anchor text (keyword rich and non-keyword rich). Use providers like Screaming Frog, SearchEye, or Featured for outreach. --> Pro Tip: Use LinkedIn Sales Navigator and SalesQL to connect with niche writers for collaborative content, but be sure to make it worth their time with $$$ 7️⃣ Leverage Schema Markup: Work with your devs to add Google-approved structured data for richer search results (https://lnkd.in/ghSVXiwZ). 8️⃣ Create YouTube Videos: Optimize video titles with your target keywords and embed them on relevant pages on your site. 💡 Consistency is key. Stick to these 8 steps over a long period of time, and you’ll outperform most websites. #SEO #DigitalMarketing

I’ve been using Keyword Insights for just over a year now, one of the things I’ve started to use much more this year has been SERP Similarity https://lnkd.in/eh8C8dsD The below are some of the ways in which I’ve integrated this into my current workflow but would love to see hear how you’re currently using KWI or any other tool for this sort of analysis. Efficient Keyword Strategy: Quickly determine if multiple keywords can be targeted on a single page, allowing me to avoid keyword cannibalization. Content Planning: Use similarity analysis to decide how to structure content, ensuring I’m not spreading efforts across unnecessary pages. Location-Based SEO: Compare SERPs across regions, helping tailor content for specific markets. Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage similarity percentages to inform merging or separating keywords, improving SEO performance and relevance. Internal Linking: Use keyword insights to see which “Anchors” I could update based on the SERP being similar overlaying Screaming Frog data to spot opportunities in content

Two critical aspects I take into account when clustering queries/topics to target: 1. Which are the sites getting most of the visibility for the cluster: Go beyond the "intent" categorization keywords give and actually check which are those sites! Are they brands selling their own products? Retailers? UGC sites? Social or Video Platforms? Specialized Informational / reviews publications? What's Google giving more visibility to for those topics? 2. Which are the SERP features triggered in those search result pages? Featured snippets, Local Packs, Videos, AI Overviews ... CTR will not only be impacted by this, but also, it can help you to identify opportunities for further content optimization and formatting to maximize your visibility through them, in case it makes sense business / marketing wise. Answering these questions should help to align your content strategy to target or prioritize those topics that fit better with your goals, content resources/nature and opportunities, while ensuring you provide a better experience than those players. Or, make you see that those are not the type of topics your site/brand/presence that are actually meaningful to target. My favorite tool for this content clustering analysis is Keyword Insights (this is a completely spontaneous, non-paid endorsement), which not only gives information about the top sites with highest visibility for the clusters, but now also supports AI Overviews along with their SERP Features, which can help you to easily answer the questions above. PS: Also, Reddit with a higher visibility than petmd for top "dog food" terms and the NYTimes above specialized retailers and publications for "best jeans" ones? Google, there's clearly work to better balance actual expertise in top positions.
