Jump was commissioned by Progress Productions to create a kit of Sport Climbing graphics for the NEOM IFSC Masters 2024. The event was part of this year’s NEOM Beach Games – a multi-sport event organised since 2022 that includes basketball 3X3, beach soccer, mountain bike, open water swimming, and triathlon competitions. The International Federation of Sport Climbing is the world governing body for the sport. Jump’s mission was to create graphics that would be projected onto the 49ft climbing wall itself. This included event ID stings, logo animations and timing devices, such as the sand timer graphics that made the athletes aware of how long they could study the rock formations before attempting their climb. The animations for the projections also included backgrounds for the live DJ entertainment - which included pulsating mountain landscapes and graphic equalisers. Well this was fun. Last night’s episode of the classic BBC quiz Mastermind featured a specialist subject close to Jump’s heart. Contestant Dom Tait, a Research Director, sat in the famous black chair to answer questions about The Day Today – which presenter Clive Myrie described as “The groundbreaking satire of television news devised by Chris Morris and Armando Iannucci.” Imagine our surprise when one of the questions turned out to be on us. Jump has been working once more with Sport 24, IMG’s live sports channel that connects passengers to unmissable sporting moments in the most unforgettable way – live onboard. Since 2012, Sport 24 has delivered the best live sports to millions of passengers globally, as they travel on airlines & cruise ships. Jump was tasked with creating a brand-new collection of idents for the channel, that give a creative nod to Sport 24’s unique position within the travel industry. Simon Pullinger – Creative Director, Sport 24 at IMG: “As Sport 24’s brand continues to evolve and grow, we wanted to refresh the on-air idents to reflect our unique position in delivering the best live sport events to passengers at sea and in the air. With so many sports to reference visually, we instead chose to evoke the feeling of speed and motion that passengers experience when travelling, creating a moment of calm outside the drama and energy that live sport produces. Jump exquisitely brought this feeling to life through their elegant graphical representation of air flows, travel routes, and ocean currents.” David Skinner - Art Director at Jump: “The ident opens with sleek, dynamic 3D speed lines streaking across the screen, evoking the high-altitude jet streams of an aircraft. These lines gracefully transform into powerful, fluid motions, mimicking the wake of a ship cutting through water. Russell Mann - Technical Director at Jump: “The summit was a discussion of the possibilities of AI and an exploration of how it is already affecting and revolutionising creativity and media. What is happening now and how it can empower creativity of the future. Also, how can we manage it responsibly and ethically? For the most part it seems to be positive and even exciting. It’s definitely not avoidable. I wish I had recorded all my notes using an AI app though. Jump’s superstar animator, Tom Holmes is a self-confessed Halloween fanatic and a very cunning creator of virtual scavenger-hunt games. For the last three years Tom has been entertaining the Jump team in the month run-up to Halloween – with an online sleuthing adventure, scattered with teasing riddles and puzzles. The game he devised this year was called 'The Empty Frame' and challenged everyone to work out which of the 25 pictures hanging in the abandoned Morwood Gallery contained the name of the Summoning Art. A new clue was released each week but the team only had until midnight on 31st October to solve the mystery. It takes a huge amount of work for Tom to create each of these games and we're hugely appreciative. They're a fantastic way of entertaining the team - and keeping our company culture thriving. Anchor Entertainment commissioned us to create the titles and programme graphics for The Tailor of Sin City - their new series for AMC Networks and SundanceTV. We're rather proud of how they all came out. David Skinner – Art Director at Jump: “Our design draws striking parallels between AJ’s world of high fashion and the illicit empire he built. The sequence is driven by animating thin white lines which represent both stitches on fabric and lines of cocaine. Asia Football Group (AFG) set Jump the task of creating on-screen design packages for three newly branded AFC Premier Club Competitions. AFC Champions League Elite, AFC Champions League Two and AFC Women’s Champions League. The deliverables include a comprehensive set of Multilateral and Unilateral on-screen match graphics used for live broadcasts, pre and post-games and for studio highlights - which also includes Opening and Closing sequences, Bumpers and a Replay Wipe for each of the three competitions.
