Yesterday, JM joined industry leaders and policymakers at Hydrogen for Life to discuss the key issues shaping the future of the hydrogen economy in the UK and globally. Sarah Jones MP, UK Minister for Industry, set out the Government’s commitment to #hydrogen as part of its Clean Energy mission, stating it's "one of the best tools we have", but insisting "we are under no illusions that this will be easy." 🗨️ In a panel session, JM's Anish K. Taneja spoke of the challenges in creating a hydrogen fuelling infrastructure to enable mass rollout of hydrogen transport. As he said, "We need a laser focus and lightning speed. The Government can play a big role in mitigating risks for business in this new industry, with the ability to drive down uncertainty." #SustainableFuture #H4LIFE #HydrogenForLife

JM is proud to sign the #COP29 Hydrogen Declaration together with governments, financial institutions and businesses, committing to: 📈 Scale up renewable, low-carbon #hydrogen production and deployment ✅ Accelerate decarbonisation of existing hydrogen production from unabated fossil fuels 🍃 Support decarbonisation of hard to abate sectors through zero-emission hydrogen production. Alongside this, we support Hydrogen Europe and the global hydrogen industry in their open letter calling for urgent action to accelerate clean hydrogen and its derivatives’ deployment by 2030. Both the Hydrogen Declaration and open letter represent a collective intent to drive forward the global #energytransition, working to ensure sustainable, just and equitable transitions for all. 🤝 Read the global hydrogen industry's open letter: https://bit.ly/4hMAzOB #COP29Azerbaijan
Today during the High-Level Roundtable on Green Energy, Hydrogen and Global Energy Storage and Grids, the COP29 Presidency officially launched the COP29 Global Energy Storage and Grids Pledge, the COP29 Green Energy Pledge: Green Energy Zones and Corridors, and the COP29 Hydrogen Declaration, calling on Party and non-Party stakeholders to endorse the initiatives, during Energy / Peace, Relief and Recovery Day at #COP29Azerbaijan. The three comprehensive and ambitious initiatives have been developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan, International Energy Agency (IEA), International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), UNIDO, UNECE Sustainable Energy and United Nations ESCAP, which will be critical to achieving global collective climate objectives and to keep the 1.5C target within reach. #COP29 #COP29Azerbaijan

Celebrating a milestone at JM’s Skopje plant in North Macedonia—a powerhouse for cleaner air and sustainability 🌟 We’re proud to announce that one of our largest manufacturing facilities in the world has reached a milestone of producing 150 million parts. This achievement marks a substantial impact on the air we breathe. Skopje’s emission control catalysts greatly contribute to all those we produce globally that prevent 20 million tonnes of pollutants annually — equivalent to stopping 40 tonnes of emissions every minute.
