We’re excited to be featured in Loughborough University Alumni News! The article highlights our founder, Dave, who lost his mum during his early weeks at Loughborough, which inspired him to create our charity. It also features the work of, David and Hannah, who both attended the university and continue to support the charity as trustees. It’s great to see our story shared and to show to students that there is support out there and they are not alone in their grief. It's Time Charity are an incredible charity supporting young adults navigating the loss of a parent. Did you know that by the age of 30, 1 in 7 people will have lost a parent. I am part of that 1 in 7. My mum died when I was 16 years old and it completely changed the trajectory of my life. Therefore over the month of December I will be running 170km in memory of my mum. if you would like to sponsor me you can here: https://lnkd.in/eDrjMAXA Thank you for taking the time to read my post.

Katie, one of our amazing supporters, has set up a remembrance tree in her office, where people can write down memories of loved ones they’ve lost. It’s a great way to support each other in the workplace through the holiday season! The holiday season can be especially difficult for those who are grieving, particularly in the workplace, where you’re surrounded by festivities. This initiative is a meaningful way of acknowledging those who may be struggling and helping to break down the taboos surrounding grief at work. Katie is also running 170km this December to raise funds for It’s Time, in memory of her mum. An incredible challenge to finish her year of giving! I'm incredibly excited to Share a New Chapter in My Journey I’m proud to announce that I’ve joined the Advisory Board of It’s It's Time Charity , an organization dedicated to supporting young adults who have experienced the loss of a parent. This cause is deeply personal to me, as I lost my mum and know first-hand how challenging that journey can be. I often wished I had access to the kind of community and support that It’s Time now provides to so many. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Harvey Taylor, whose introduction made this opportunity possible, and to Dave Jacob-Lloyd, the founder, for his vision and for welcoming me to the team. In this role, I’ll be focusing on driving the charity’s marketing strategy and working to grow and enhance its revenue streams, ensuring that It’s Time can reach and support even more people in need. It’s an honor to contribute to something so impactful, and I’m excited to help shape the future of this incredible organization. If you know someone who might benefit from what It’s Time offers, or if you’re interested in supporting the charity, please reach out or visit www.itstimecharity.co.uk.

It was great to attend the Irwin Mitchell Bereavement Conference in Manchester yesterday and represent It's Time Charity! The theme of the day was “Everyone Grieves Differently,” which is something we keep at the forefront of our content and messaging. It was incredibly insightful to connect with others in the grief space and learn from each other, as much of our work overlaps in meaningful ways. Equally powerful was hearing the lived experiences shared by so many - a reminder of the depth and diversity of grief. #imbereavementconference #smallcharities

Today we're sharing Shane's story 💭 Shane opens up about losing his dad 18 months ago, his journey of setting up his run community Step By Steppers, as well as how talking about his grief has helped him. It was such a pleasure to talk to Shane and it is amazing to see everything he is doing to open the conversation around grief and breakdown the stigma! #griefawarenessweek #griefstory #griefsupport #griefandloss

We're pleased to say that we have been nominated for a Shine a Light Award from the The Good Grief Trust as part of their #griefawarenessweek campaign! Our aim is to make the world a better place for young adults who have lost one or both parents, with our community being at the heart of everything we do. It is great to see our services recognised in this way alongside others doing such valuable work. #grief #griefsupport

One of our trustees, David Fagan, shares how his friends at university helped him by talking about how he was feeling after his dad died 💭 It can be hard to be vulnerable and talk about grief but you often feel lighter after doing so. At It's Time we have a board of trustees who all have lived experience, they truly understand. Find out more about our board here: https://lnkd.in/dznH_vFX #trusteesweek #griefsupport #griefjourney #griefawareness
