The integration of longer duration battery storage into electricity networks is happening now. The UK Government confirmed on 10 October 2024 that it would be implementing a Cap & Floor scheme designed to support and accelerate the rollout of a number of LDES technologies. Invinity's Made in Britain - official vanadium flow batteries are specifically designed to provide the safe, longer duration, grid-scale energy storage the UK grid needs to meet our 2030 net zero targets.
