Last week, Investment20/20 had the pleasure of welcoming 60 students from Saint Francis Xavier (SFX) Sixth Form College, St Charles Catholic Sixth Form College and Whitmore High School to Insight Investment for a workplace visit. This event provided a fantastic opportunity for sixth form students to gain a behind-the-scenes look at the investment management industry and network with professionals. The students were introduced to Insight Investment by Joash Buijs and Joanna Mulligan. They participated in engaging and informative masterclasses led by Peter Bentley, Rich Turner and Tim Benjamin, who shared insights into their career pathways and introduced different parts of the business. An office tour gave the students a glimpse into the daily operations at Insight Investment. Additionally, students took part in an interactive investment game with guidance from Grace C., Katie Price, Adam K., Ben Bushell and Alex Preece. Following their introduction to the investment management industry, the students had the chance to ask questions to our professional panel on topics such as the recruitment process, standing out in applications and the challenges our volunteers have faced during their careers. We extend our gratitude to our panellists, Benjamin Gruneberg, Tim Benjamin, Joanna Mulligan, Rachel Blades, Jeff Jones and Rich Turner for sharing their expertise and advice with the students.
