What a great day of learning and networking. You just never know when you will bump into an Olympic gold medalist. Listening to Lady P (that’s what she said she likes to be called) was inspirational. I almost wanted to put on my own running shoes again, almost. As the day was all about the celebration of the contribution of business consultants, mentors, advisors and coaches to the growth of the local economy. Lady P made a great point about employee athletes, you know they have the right attitudes businesses need to help them thrive, discipline, passion, consistency and goal setting. So remember if you are hiring don’t discount the part time athlete because they may not be as flexible as others. Hire for attitude and you can’t go far wrong.
